Psalms Chapter 23



1 (A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

The Psalm 23 has shown to me that in spite of one's authority or position in this life, a total submission to our LORD is not only recommended but deemed essential. The psalmist has carefully selected the LORD as his shepherd, therefore, considered himself a sheep whose protection and even life depends totally on the shepherd. With that in mind he declared : "The LORD is my shepherd I shall..."

GALATIANS 1:11 BUT I CERTIFY YOU BRETHREN THAT THE GOSPEL WHICH WAS PREACHED OF ME IS NOT AFTER MAN --1:12-- FOR I NEITHER RECEIVED IT OF MAN NEITHER WAS I TAUGHT IT BUT BY THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST EPHESIANS 5:24 THEREFORE AS THE CHURCH IS SUBJECT UNTO CHRIST SO LET THE WIVES BE TO THEIR OWN HUSBANDS --- IN EVERY THING ---
