1 (To the chief Musician, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech.) Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.

I love the whole chapter, it speaks of lying and decitful people and how He will destroy in the end and oh how He loves those that do right. It speaks volumes to how you reap what you sow.

David understood the evils of the tongue and the constant perpetration of mischief. But, David was also aware of the vengeance requited to sinners by God. In this chapter, David's resolution is a life of worship and the forfeiture of personal vengeance for vindication by the Almighty.
