Streetpreacher's 2 Chronicles Chapter 24 comment about verse 16 on 8/06/2022, 7:09pm...

We're not the one(s) having a problem with Jesus delegating authority. Their problem is with the Lord.

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Hebrews 13:17

Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. [them]

We are all subject to authority of some kind. Hopefully it is Jesus. If a Church cannot esteem others better than themselves___that Church is Icabod [the glory has left it].

Sach. I'm not sure what congregation would not allow those in occupational fields of risks and personal safety (police officers and military personnel) to be a part of their fellowship. Is there a biblical reference for this standard to be applied? Do you or your fellowship consider these and the others in your post (prison officers, debt collectors or politicians) lost causes? I'm not trying to pick a fight, just wondering where the biblical narrative is that would support such a position. Have a good day...
