Verse 10:

teaches me that God cares about words just as much as he does actions. The verse mentions revilers or the verbally abusive not inheriting God's Kingdom and one can be a reviler even without shouting or cursing at others but if one constantly insults others with the intention of hurting them this is a reviler. This really impressed on me the importance of making sure that I put as much thought into my words as I do my actions.

Helen, that phrase refers specifically to male homosexuality, as opposed to lesbianism. When we consider the Greek word applicable to it: 'arsenokoitai', this is broken in two words: 'arsen' meaning 'male' and 'koite' meaning 'a bed, a marriage bed). The apostle Paul had actually coined up a new word to describe this situation, bringing forth his knowledge from the Old Testament (Leviticus 18 & 20) & so we have this 'new' word in Greek. So, in Paul's usage, this applied to 'men defiling the bed with other men'. Without writing it here for crudity sake, I'll leave it up to you to look at those Greek words again to see the modern usage of the twin words in English.
