It just causes conflicts when people want to say Jesus's name is something other than, Jesus. All through scripture He does have other names (a 100 or more). I could list them but I'm not going to. You do it; from Genesis to Revelation.

I will adore to see that list.

bob Hilt's comment on 2020-05-23 13:58:57:

Grace - Q: Did Jesus take the Kingdom of God from the Jews?

A: Matthew 21:43 - Therefore say I (Jesus speaking to the Jews) unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. So which language was the New Testament written in? GREEK.

Why? King James Bible book of John 5:16 - And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. It was not the Romans who troubled Jesus.

Jesus had it with their man made rules in Matthew 23:15 - Jesus speaks: Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees (Jews) , hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. 2X the child of Hell does not sound very nice.

no one can prove to me from the Bible alone that the family of Jesus called him Yeshua.

Besides Rabbis called Jesus YESHU which is a curse meaning may his name be blotted out.

Luke Chapter 1

:26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name [was] Mary.

28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

(Angel Gabriel gave JESUS his name from the Lord)

so what scriptural authority does anyone have to call him YESHUa?

32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

I believe the Bible is right Jesus is not in error.

Grace K Kenya's comment on 2020-05-22 23:58:37:

Yeshua is the real Hebrew name for Jesus. Jesus is the english name for Yeshua. So Angel Gabriel must have been speaking in Hebrew to Mary. Hence Yeshua is the name angel Gabriel used. Whatever the case it is in order. Our God know we do not speak the same languages. In our national language, Jesus is called 'Yesu'. In my Meru mother tongue Jesus is 'Jesu'.

Be blessed.

Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord Jesus is our strength. Refer Nehemiah 8:10b.

Psalms 2:8, "Ask of Me. and I will give you nations for inheritance, and the ends of the earth for possession"

God loves you!

"Why does evil exist, if God is Love?" I'm not sure that there is any connection between the two, because IF that would be the case, then a loving God, to prove His Love & protect His creation, would have to annihilate any design or act of evil that would oppose that love. Thus any attempt at doing evil will be immediately thwarted. Yet, since evil does exist, & God is Love, there must be a part of that Love that permits evil to continue & it can't be that evil was in God's Plan for the entrance of man & His Christ, as that would then compromise His Holy Being, that of Love.

But if we say, 'but God cannot create evil but planned for its inception into the world', then we're back to the first point, why should God bother with creating everything, all things becoming corrupted, sending His Son to redeem us & restoring the world to what it should have been? Here, I think that the first suggestion would fit well: that God should have just annihilated evil at its root & saved everyone a lot of bother.

Carlos, our thread has been locked again, so am sending my comment as a New one. Trust you saw my other comments sent in a similar way (over a day ago).

"I don't mean to diminish the fact God deserves and gets Glory, Exaltation, etc." Sorry, your statement confused me as you say that God deserves our praise & love, yet in your comment to Adam you mentioned that He doesn't need it. If He doesn't need it, then I wonder, in your understanding, what does God do with all the praise, worship & love that goes up to Him. In human terms, if I am given something but feel that I don't need it (i.e. consider it of little use to me & therefore it's either shelved or given away to someone who might make better use of it), would that be similar to what you're thinking? If so, then is God one Who receives these offerings, but since they don't affect Him in any way, He remains unmoved by them? Or, maybe you mean that any offerings coming to Him doesn't affect His Character in any way & Who He is.

"What I would like to get at is what the Bible reveals about What God created us for in that Love. There's a persistent question people ask. That is, if God, why evil? Perhaps this is too philosophical, but it is important. Why does evil exist, if God is Love? The notion that we have Choice or Free Will, isn't enough." I can't add anymore to what has already been said to, "why did God, in His Love, create us?" I realize that your understanding that we were the means for His Son to enter the world & give his life for us, & there is truth there, but why indeed were we created.

Mishael on Judas Iscariot's comment on 2020-05-21 18:57:41:

ACTS 1:10-20

This took place in a Upper Room. A prophesy about Judas Iscariot is discussed. They are about to appoint a new 12th disciple.

I believe the Holy Spirit showed Peter of the prophesies about Judas Iscariot's betrayal.

This is one of those studies that you have to read at a snails pace, all of the center column references to get a clearer picture of prophesy with present circumstances.

I'm going to list the passages and let the scholars in here piece it together with Holy Spirit, our Helper: helping us rightly divide the Truth.

Acts 1: 10:20

John 18:3

Matthew 26:55-56

Psalm 41:9, 55:23

Isaiah 53:7 (Ch 53 all about Jesus)

Daniel 9:26

Lamentations 4:20

Leviticus 25:15

Deuteronomy 16:9

Mishael on Judas Iscariot's comment on 2020-05-21 17:43:26:

Yep. Judas had a prophesy to fulfill. I found it in Psalms.

The 11, in Acts, were Together trying to figure out why Judas did what he did.

They had to of had some kind of text they were poring over.

The center column on the page made reference to a scripture in Psalms. It does describe what Judas did, but not his name.

People get confused because one of Jesus's brothers was named Judas. You have to google Iscariot.

bob Hilt's comment on 2020-05-21 17:12:21:

Mishael Are the gifts and calling of God irrevocable?

Mark 6:7 And he (Jesus) called (unto him) the (including Judas) twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;

skip to Mark 6:13 And (the 12 apostles w/ Judas) they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them. (Judas was with the 12 doing these miracles and is his calling irrevocable?

John Chapter 6:70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?

John 6:71 He spake of Judas Iscariot [the son] of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

Perdition means to fall

John 17:12 While I (Jesus)was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. Judas was the son of perdition.

Acts 1:25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. (what place is Judas going to?)

Matthew 26:24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

Matthew 26:25 Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

Mark 14:21 The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.

Does this sound like Judas is still saved?

Mishael on WHAT does God want's comment on 2020-05-21 15:18:50:

Bless the Holy Spirit! He's been reading your comments.

As soon as I came in, I saw all the comments. The Holy Spirit said one word:

FELLOWSHIP.

That's what we do here, mostly lol. I was reminded of a couple of things: Genesis 2:19, God brought the animals etc to see (with pleasure) what Adam would name them. That's a lot of critters so I'm thinking it was a daily time together.

Genesis 3:8, and they heard the voice of God !!! Walking in the garden in the cool of the day. I know I like walking, early evening. Forget the sin and stuff... God likes to walk with us. It could happen if we were ever in tune with Him.

Watching in the night before Him. Listening. Talking to Him like he was in the room too?

Fellowship. We were made for all kinds of fellowship, but primarily with God, through the Holy Spirit. He's NOT a floating ghostly vision: He is a Person. He would comfort us if we would let Him!

Watchman, Watchman, what do you see ?

Since you are all excellent searchers of the Word; here are some places of scriptures concerning 'fellowship' between us and God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, through the intercession of Jesus for his saints.

Psalm 130:6, Psalm 19:2, 1 Corinthians 1:9

Ephesians 3:9, books of John 15, 17

Philippians 2:1-2, 3:10

1 John 1:3, 6, 7. And more to discover...

One time I was reading Ezekiel and got to the Valley of dry bones. When God said for him to prophesy! Every hair on my body stood up and when he said THUS SAITH THE LORD...my knees gave way.

He is so majestically Powerful, it takes your breath away.

You can have a relationship /fellowship with the Godhead!

Those scriptures will change from words on a page, to the living Word Of God! Alive, living in your heart, your mind, the text you write.

You all need to ask the Holy Spirit for the Gift, of discerning of spirits. Covet the best gift: word of wisdom. Receive it. Gifts and callings are irrevocable.

Yeshua or Jesus? Heresy or Hebrew roots?

32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his

father David:

33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

YESHU is a curse that means may his name be blotted out. This is commonly used by those who claim to be Noahides.

They claim Noah was given a set of laws yet they exist only in the minds of Rabbis. I can not find Noah being given any laws in my King James.

This verse is not to be taken lightly. To ask the Lord to examine me and try my heart is very serious I must be prepared for the revealing of things that need to be taken out of my life and replaced with new from the Lord !! To receive correction and possible chastisement . I must depend on my Lord to help me to rid myself of unclean actions and words in my life. The grace of my Lord God is sufficient . I will and can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Amen !!!! Examine Prove Try Am I ready for this !!!!!

David was asking the LORD to check him out, and what the true motives of his heart or mind were. We need to be in his same position. We don 't want to be a fake, but follow God for genuine reasons, not just for show.
