Hi, I am so blessed to hear your son is now serving the Lord! My son is now in about the same situation. He was near death's door because of his past drug use and present drinking. I am praying God will be gracious to him one more time and he will repent and turn to the Lord. I believe the seed of faith was planted in him and this situation is the way the Lord will return my son to himself.

Hi Gail is NOT confusing! Once we are save Romans 6:23. We have confident from flesh to eternal glory incorruptible body John 3:6. We have assurance since life on earth is very cunning but we have hope of eternal life.

I truly believe there is something in all of us but we must stir it up. If we get pass what people think of us and take root what God says we are, then and only then, we can set the course for greatest.

Gail's comment on 2014-12-13 21:48:16:

I think it means that if you have salvation and then walk away from God, that he will bring you back to him at some time, because he did start a good work in you and he will complete what he started in you, I find this scripture a bit confusing though.

If God has called you to be His then no matter how far away you try to run He will, in the end, bring his plan for your salvation to fruition. My son believed when he was young then got mixed up with ratbags and wrong crowd. We just kept praying for him and visit him in jail and when he got out he still prefer drugs etc. Then one day he was so close to death and says that story is between him and God we 'll never know full story but now he 's living for God, telling everyone about the power of God for salvation...He GOD who began a good work in our son 10 years ago will complete what He began.Praise the Lord!

The most important thing is to have faith, love, for others and teach our society about the goodness of our lord Jesus Christ

Being confident assured of persuaded of God didn t call me into this Grace to go through things in this life good or bad by myself he sent holy Spirit within to teach guide instruct discipline chastise and love As long as I listen and do what He says he Jesus will finish His good work Sometimes it is hard to put to death my flesh but I found the Blessings of The Lord abound when I Trust and Obey and Submit that is to enjoy to do what my Lord says Praise God

Michele's comment on 2014-01-27 17:17:46:

I believe God is saying, we are not perfect, we He started a good work in us, and he is faithful to complete it!! We live in the flesh, only our Lord is perfect and just!!!

Joseph Gakura's comment on 2013-11-30 16:46:08:

Paul says , *preach the gospel without fearing.* Elohim is the boss in Jesus' work, as his followers we ought to follow his steps in anyways, and I like that.

Can God? God can.

isaac's comment on 2013-11-08 08:16:09:

The 'he'here is not God but 'anybody' from among the believers;otherwise God would not judge anyone for failing to accomplish what he started and the "if we don't give ups" in the bible, have no meanings since it's God who started it and must compplete it until jesus comes as some think.

It prepares us for the second coming of Christ. Jesus is the whole point of discussion in the book of philipians

Ntando Ncube's comment on 2013-10-05 03:43:40:

God is faithful and does not do half jobs, all his work is absolutely perfect just like in the time of creation, at the end of it all-all was very good. Its really none of our business how He does it but we have to trust Him with all our heart

lizzy's comment on 2013-09-16 01:23:52:

to me am saying that the book of philippians is encouraging us to trust God who can do everything

Nancy's comment on 2013-09-03 23:11:29:

I think that Philippians 1:6 is majorly focusing on our faith as Christians. We need to focus solely on God,because He's the All Knowing God and He surely shall make everything that He promised to come to pass to them who believe in Him.

DPMills's comment on 2013-09-03 22:27:44:

God is the true ruler of all that we see- he created this as well as all of us! It is not our place to question his devine wisdom?
