That is my understanding from the account of Moses' death and burial in Deuteronomy 34:1-7 It says God buried Moses in the valley in the land of Moab, perhaps below Mt. Nebo where he last spoke with God.

T. Levis

These more than helped a lot. Thank you.

These are scary to envisage though... yet must be true because God does not lie.

The Book of Revelation, I think I should finish reading this one ahead.

David Brother,

Is it true that Our Heavenly Father buried Moses secretly?

Gianni, Amen ! This is really wonderful. Thank you because it reminds me, it is true that 1000 years for us is only 1 day for God.

Amen , how beautiful it is to think that God wants everyone to be saved.

Richard S. Friday,

Thank you Richard. I got it. Yes Jesus obedience was really overwhelming , amazing... I couldn't convey with my own words. We Christians must indeed overcome fear. Practice strengthening faith. I always mention the Holy Spirit of God and Jesus when praying to the Father. Really trying my best sometimes to understand the SCRIPTURES.

Mae's comment on 2022-07-16 21:32:53:

Thank you David. It indeed will really take a long while. What is really needed is for us to have the faith like the mustard seed. I am thinking of how hard it is to get a passing score to be with Jesus in eternity , a believer should endure all the tests and persecution! and most of all is to love even your enemy.

Thank you Doug. My big brother's name is Douglas.

I do believe your answer is true. I have read some scriptures sparingly . One of those were Jesus words saying " in my Father's house are many mansions , if it weren't so I would have told you , I got to prepare a place for you ... " This sounds so comforting and your answer to my question really adds up so beautifully. I think I need to read the Bible from beginning up to end.

God bless you Doug , and everyone here !

Doug's comment on 2022-07-16 19:33:17:

Because he wants as many as possible saved.

Richard H Priday's comment on 2022-07-16 15:19:03:

This is a mystery at least while Christ was here in the flesh before the Resurrection (Matt. 24:36). According to 2 Thess. 2:6 the restrainer is removed; then the man of sin can be revealed; hence all the events of the Tribulation commences at that point. This would signify as I can see the Holy Spirit in the way it manifests during the Church Age; also showing how the Holy Ghost is in some ways dependent in its actions to the Father. The Spirit is said to indicate; as John 16:8-11 sin; righteousness and judgment to come; and seals every believer until the Day of Redemption (Eph. 4:30).

The offices of the Godhead somehow operate in this manner; despite each member being God. The best way I can see this is that God the Father is not able ever to be in the presence of sin without judgment coming from Him directly. There had to be some separation therefore or when Christ died at the cross the whole universe would have ceased to exist the moment He was estranged for that instant from the Father. It would seem the Holy Spirit; since it came from Christ directly at Pentecost has always been the way the Omnipresent Godhead can be within His chosen vessels. Truly; there was always that presence in Old Testament times; as it will be in some ways in the future Tribulation and beyond but the ministry changes. The results of that can be seen contrasting the promises of Matthew 16:18 and the statements of the saints being overcome in Daniel 7:15 etal.

I am stating all this so that verse about the Son of Man not knowing the Day and hour of His return can be better understood.

Christ learning obedience in a self depreciating manner (Heb. 5:8) while He took on the form of man with all the limitations so He could be our substitute in life and death in every way; being tempted as we are but without sin (Heb. 4:15) is also unfathomable in our minds. Nonetheless; Christ alerted to us that He comes a day we don't expect. We should be aware of signs; not overcome by fear

2 PETER 3:8-9

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

Andy G van den Berg's comment on 2020-09-14 04:11:26:

The Word of God is God (John 1:1) and not for any private interpretation (2 Peter 1:20). If it records in Rev. 12:9 that this whole world has been deceived, it did not speak of a particular country, group of people, person or religion, it meant the whole world.

For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' what it means to repent, and learn how and by whom (2 Cor. 11:13-15) this whole world has been deceived and what mankind must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive (Matthew 7:7; John 14:17).

The word 'Repent' in different forms (repent, repentance, repented, repentest, repenteth, repenting), is mentioned 110 times in the KJV, and there seems to be a great misconception what the true 'spiritual' meaning of the word is. The word 'repent' used in the New Testament was translated from the Greek word "metanoeo", and means to change, transform, to think differently or reconsider.

Only through Repentance will God be able to reveal Himself, and adopt you as His sons and daughters (Rom. 8:15,23; 2 Cor.6:18; Gal. 4:5; Eph. 1:5; Hebr. 12:5; 1 John 3:1) and reveal to you how this whole world has been deceived (Rev. 12:9) and overcome this world (1 John 5:4).

The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe. It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God (Acts 26:18).

It is only by revelation of God that people will come to know the true Christ (Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1). It should also be remembered that it is a narrow way that leadeth unto 'Life', and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:1

David A Man After God39s Own Heart's comment on 2020-07-25 09:05:30:

The life of King David represents what a lot of people go through too. You'll have to search back through the comment room history pages 1-100, to see a study I did on Tamar; David's daughter.

David was "a man after Gods own heart." No matter what happened, or collapsed like a pile of leaves, David always turned towards God for his help/understanding.

"The Poet King" is how I've thought of him at times. Read his heart.

He praised and sang his heart out to God at every twist and turn. It gives me much comfort to read the Psalms Of David in his older life. His kids just wouldn't sit still. His enemies railed on him night and day.

Some people react to that by getting stoney in the heart; blaming God, their dad, Mom, The President; life in general, future in doubt. Blame is a vortex (like a tornado) that just spins around eating up your happiness and future; until you realize that YOU are the problem. Leave all the mess on the Altar of God and turn back to Him.

Walk BESIDE Him. Not dragging along behind Him. You know...when life gets so painful and it never lets up; pulsating with lost hope and plunges into darkness. Like driving a toothpick under a nail kind of pain?

Turn back to the one who has loved you so much, He was nailed to a cross for you!

Return to your first love; when you met Him the first time. Confess your meandering and be restored.

Grow up and move into son/daughter status. God isn't going to chase you down or drag you back home by the collar. You turn back to Him!

If you want to love people, family, fellowman; much better than currently: Grow up in Christ. Get off that blame train.

Be a person after Gods own Heart. Let Him be your Daddy.

The Gospel Tract and Bible Society have some very simple but clear tracts on very many subjects for wayfarers that wish to cross in due time to the other shore in confidence of peace and salvation in Jesus Christ. They are located in Kansas.

I'm feeling stuck. I am going through a lot of trials, I know God is testing me to the fullest, I am trying to remain strong and give my troubles to him, but everything creeps back in. I'm searching for recommendations of readings that may help me. I appreciate the suggestions, thank you in advance and GOD BLESS.

Carleton's comment on 2020-07-24 10:08:52:

Hello again Walter, I would like to add that the events mentioned took place some 28-30 years ago. I have Children still living at home that have the same power and peace with songs on their hearts after their true repentance, born again relationships with the Lord began several years ago.

There is no righteousness in what I am now going to say, but the reasonable service has been helpful in my Christian Life.

I do not read end times books, listen to Radio or TV nor watch movies.

I am careful what I do read.

I do not participate at all in exercising my American rights on any issue as a point, to any neighbor.

I do not vote.

I understand that offense and pride are the easiest targets for Satan to disrupt my Life in Christ.

I can claim that I have peace with God and man this very day to the best that I am able to understand and remain teachable.

I believe that the Lord will only return for the harvest thus claiming His Bride.

The reign of Christ in the hearts of believers along with the written Word has provided an adequate witness to the world that God is true and His Son Jesus made away for our sin to be reconciled (Forgiven) as children in earth.

God bless the Christian walk which is our conversation.

Jesse's comment on 2020-07-24 09:28:10:

There is a whole lot of truth in what you are saying here. In your first post, you say "Thy word is truth" and that is what does the washing. There are two keywords I see in Thy word is truth, (Word and Truth). Jesus is called the word in John 1:1. And Jesus is called the truth in John 14:6. Both the word and the truth refer to a person, and that person is Jesus Christ. John baptized with water which could not fully cleanse anyone, but Jesus baptizes people with His Spirit. That is the baptism that cleanses us completely.

Now as far as sin goes, for the person who has been born of God's Spirit, that person can still commit an act of sin. However, a person who belongs to Christ is no longer capable of living a lifestyle of continuous sin because God's Spirit in that person is there to convict them and keep them from sinning (Habitually). Prior to receiving Christ, a person can live a lifestyle of sin, sin daily, and think nothing of it. But this is not the case for the ones who belong to Christ.

You mention something that Paul also said, although not the exact same words, "I find no good thing in me except the word (the truth)." As a believer, I understand this to mean that in my flesh there is nothing good. My flesh wants nothing to do with God and continuously wants to get away. But the word, the truth (Christ) in me, He is good. When we as believers stand before God one day, we're going to know we don't deserve to be there. But God is going to look at us and He's going to see His Son. The only way we enter in is to have Christ in us. That is the only good thing God is going to see in me when I stand before Him, and that is how I enter in.

I hope you have truly called upon the Lord to save you. If so, He has promised to save you and keep you saved. You are doing well to immerse yourself in the word. If you have already received Christ, just know that He is the one who lives in you that is giving you the hunger and desire to remain in His word.
