A great Scripture in Galatians, Mishael. That was indeed the purpose of the Law, that ultimately it was to show to both Jew & Gentile that justification could never be by the Law, but by Grace through Faith. That obedience to the Law only brought death (Rom 7:10; 8:2).

Mishael On Galatians 323-25's comment on 2020-05-10 21:18:49:

3:23. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

3:24. Wherefore the law was our SCHOOLMASTER to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

3:25. But after faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Acts 15:10

Thank you! I love this commentary and responses. Many times a wife has had to deal with many issues surrounding this scripture as husbands placed as the head with the responsibility of providing and protecting. The help mate has many times been a great support to the head and has been severely and financially abused in the role reversal because the head is not providing.

An infidel indeed, Sometimes that head is a teacher/pastor who is so engulfed in the church they forget about home. Can we say they are so busy taking care of Gods bride they forget their own...

For those out there who are Bible quoting Christians professing the gospel that don't live it. James3:1 says you will be held at even a higher strictness.

Can we explore James 3:1 please?

when a man feels he have no self worth it takes away his ability to see plainly, but if he has a women that will not beat him up and belittle him but instead she will build him up he can make it out of that position. Be patient and know that God is working it out no matter how ugly it gets.

Reply to Kristyn Evans: Kristyn, I don 't know if what i am writing here is still relevant to your situation, for the fact that your comment was written in 2013 and now it is 2015. But still I will write. Remember what THE LORD says concerning marriage, "So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore GOD has joined together, let no man split apart. " So you and your husband are now one single flesh. Let us compare that to a single unmarried person. An unmarried person is one flesh with themselves, therefore if they have a problem they cannot simply divorce it, but they must work it out, sacrifice, and and do whatever good thing needs to be done to fix it in their single body. Therefore compared to a married couple, their singular emotions and perspectives, and thoughts are no longer preserved to their singular mind and heart only, but also to their spouse 's for they are now one flesh . Then the same as the single unmarried person worked out the problem in their single body, the married must in one body and mind, through GOD, work out whatever problem they are having. Not cast it aside in divorcement, save for the cause of fornication.

Many unbelievers provides for their family too.So to say that only we believers provides for our family. And it is not just in the Christian community.

This scripter, is addressed to the head of the home, during that time women were considered property, therefore any man that don 't feed, provide shelter for his family, especially those able to work and want are acting in Rebellion! But God knows what you cannot do...live by Mal 3 7 pay your tithesand trust the Lord, he will bless your 90 percent!

Joseph Siame's comment on 2014-01-09 01:28:53:

Providing for ones relatives is a natural command for a believer as we see in genesis 30:30 Jacob asking Laban to allow him to go and provide for his own relatives. We also see in Isaiah 58:7 God describes the kind of sacrifices that pleases Him among them the caring of ones own blood. It is therefore a paramount responsibility for a christian who is full of love to provide for the lacking relatives. We would also extend the relationship to the fellow believers for we share the same faith and belong to the same house hold of believers through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Christianity does not take away our sense of responsibility.

I love the book of 1Timothy 5:8.i have read over and over again. I pray God should grant some of us the wisdom to understand what He spoke through paul. many persons misunderstand this verse. your house hold is comprises of your immediate family and those distance family too. To some their family is wife and children but is not true. I thank God personally for the grace is given me to understand his word. provide for your family and the extended family and you see God doing the unbelieveable!

Carolyn's comment on 2013-07-25 01:10:02:

Marriage is an oath made before God to another, for BETTER or WORSE until death do part. Kristy I commend you on staying focused on God and His word for true guidance on God's perfect plan for a man and a woman. God is not the author of divorces. God has spoken! Are we listening?
God bless you, your marriage and children.
If anyone loosed his life for my sake will save it. Luke 17:33
Hang in there for Christ sake! You will be blessed! We live by faith, not by sight. 2 Cor. 5:7. Finally, God hates divorce. Malachi 2:16. If God hate it...we too ought to hate it.
The peace of God that all understanding be with you

Provision is three-fold. Physical, spiritual, and emotional provision is necessary for truly caring for your family. What good is feeding and clothing the body without feeding he soul or spirit?

anonymous's comment on 2011-01-02 00:30:56:

This treatment concerns widows, not family members.
