This verse is my reassurance that God 's will shall prevail. I pray it silently each time I hear news of the violent atrocities occurring around the world.

Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth Matt. 5 5 . Meekness has two aspects. First, is the sense that, as individuals, we are no better than anyone else. All are on level playing field with God. Second, meekness is the gentle treatment of others on the basis that we can trust God to judge evildoers and to work in other believers as He works in us. Think of Jesus, Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again when he suffered, he threatened not but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously 1 Pet. 2 23 . Our Savior was meek and lowly of heart Matt. 11 29 , and He will produce the same spirit in us when we let the Spirit take control.

If we are mild tempered, we will display meekness by doing Jehovah Gods will and accepting his guidance. Mildness of temper will also be evident in the way we deal with others.

The meek are those who exercise self control over the natural wild desires, they submit to God and depend on God for leading, protection, & provisions. They will enjoy God's goodness in full & shall possess the earth both now and the life after.

THIS WORDS ENCOURAGE ME TO KEEP ON IMITATING CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD WHO WAS CRUSIFIED AND INSULTED JUST FOR THE WILL OF GOD TO BE DONE.
