I can see that in spite of the fall out of your failed marriage & your rebellion against the Lord, your turning back to Him in great conviction & resolve to follow Him & remain obedient to His Word, is what is uppermost in your heart & the joy of your spirit.
The Lord will bless you & strengthen your spirit & be the Companion you need as you walk hand-in-hand with Him in your earthly journey. In today's world things can be very confusing the world says one thing but God's word is unchanging its the same yesterday today and tomorrow and he gave us his word to bring us into a place of truth and understanding for all scripture is useful for teaching training and admonishing in righteousness he does not give us a spirit of confusion but of power love and a sound mind. We need to stay close to his WORD and he'll reveal his truth to our very specific individual circumstances.Do not follow after the pattern of this world. Remember Satan's position is, he is a liar and a thief and he has come to steal and destroy. Remember you have a real enemy out there, and it is not your spouse, because it's not against flesh and blood that we fight.
My own personal testimony , I walked in rebellion for 10 years I separated from my husband legally but I lived the lifestyle that was completely about everything that was about this world. I was in complete rebellion against God and his word and his ways. I came to the end of myself I was like the prodigal son. I had to come to the end of myself I thank God ,my Lord that he brought me to the end of myself With a lot of pain a lot of rejection a lot of separation from people that I loved.
The word of the Lord says confess your sins to one another, as you can approach the throne of God freely without judgement. And so I did just that, I was a very broken woman.
For God will not always hide himself from us or hold his anger against us as we deserve.
He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins. After 10 years I searched my heart and found myself not having any affections for my husband. So instead we stayed friends. And I made my choice to remain single. Not divorcing because God hates devorce. And I keep myself to do Gods work and not look to the flesh. It was very hard at first because of loneliness but The Lord has given me the strength. And although I feel temptations, his Spirit has kept me strong.

It's not going to be easy for you. Jesus gave us an update on marriage and divorce in Matthew 5:31-33, Matthew 19:3-12.
1 Corinthians 7
The Marriage and Divorce chapter; and also the chapter that supports those that choose not to ever marry...to serve the Lord.
Once our society was able to buy televisions for the home; it was just a matter of time until Divorce Lawyers we're buying commercial spots to advertise and promote for divorce. And so the Age Of Split Up homes ensued. Who became adults in the 70's; and in 1973 abortion was legalized.
This was Satans plan all along to "kill" children emotionally or literally.
Mom and Dad remarry other people; then the children have FOUR people speaking into their lives and futures. See how fast and far things got messed up? By not obeying Gods Word on marriage and divorce ;Enter in the Gay generation: who now adopt or buy surrogates to get children for their family. All this because of God-less television and advertising.
Where is the Bible in our homes? On the coffee table, or in a bookcase collecting dust mites?
The only way for Christians to overcome that in their homes, is to be faithful to the "light" of understanding, that He has blessed us with. Hard as it is, we have to rededicate ourselves to God, through the forgiveness of Jesus Christ; and live a life that is pleasing to the Lord. Deny our passion for worldliness and Follow Jesus.
How do I know all of this? I experienced it myself. I cancelled the cable and put the Bible back in my life. It was hard at first, but gets easier ever day. If we'll take a stand for Jesus, it's less confusing for the kids. But you will log in many hours of prayer for those children who lived through it with you too.
Now we know how it happened. Now we can go forward with Jesus. If we don't, the danger of becoming Apostate is huge...and the kids too.
With meekness I say, Repent. Turn around and walk toward the Lord wholeheartedly.

I'm 43 I got married young at around 20 my wife then and I had 2 kids but through my lack of maturity and own self indulgence I left and a few years later following a sickness and during my sickness from drug induced psychosis was carted to my ex wife's divorce lawyers I office and told under duress to just sign all the papers even though all I wanted was to try again. My kids now are grown and sh we s engaged to another man biblically can I remarry another woman and if so does she have to never have been married?t

I was forced into divorce because of adultery. It is passages such as Matthew 5:31, that help me with deal with the daily spiritual fight of being divorced.
