Is 'Wisdom of Solomon' 1:16 speaking about death? Is it referencing verses 12 & 13?

comments by Alex on Malachi 3 Who shall abide the day of his coming , Who shall stand when he appears ( 2 ND COMING ) For he shall be as a refiners FIRE and fullers soap a cleasing fire i.e his baptism of fire that we all Need as our GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE THAT IS GONNA CONSUME MANS ADAMIC SINFUL NATURE. Thus every man ( sinner ) will have his part in that lake of fire which is his baptism of the H.G. AND FIRE . Thats y he said i come to bring fire on the earth meaning on mankind Remember th Red HEIFER SHE HAD TO BE BURNED TO ASHES AT THE DOOR of the tabernacle our old evil adamic nature is gonna be burned to ashes at the door of our hearts ya remember he said he wd not leave them root nor branch nothin is gonna beleft of our old man, behold i make all things new .Satans head is gonna be crushed his head is our old adamic nature which is in rank with satan, thats y he called Peter satan . There is absolutly nothin wrong with this beautiful earth, its mans sick nature that needs to be destroyed, not the earth with all her beautiful things. All ways remember our God is a consuming fire and that gives me hope. gtg gbu

Andrew, you're quoting from an Apocryphal book, which is not accepted in the Canon of Scripture. The reasons for these books not being accepted are many but come under the general reason that there are portions of text within them that conflict the general theme of Scripture. We can't say that all of it is wrong, but when you get Truth & dubious material mixed together, then it is wise to stay away from it.

But to your question: from the King James Version, in Gen 2:16,17, we read that God created all the plants in Eden in perfection. The tree you mention that was one of the trees there, is the Tree of the Knowledge of Good & Evil. This wasn't a Tree of Death & Life - it did not give either. Why people consider it bad was because God used that tree to prevent Adam & Eve losing their innocence & remain pure. So the tree wasn't bad, it was their disobedience to God that caused them to sin & so spiritually die (i.e. become separated from their Maker) & to also physically die eventually.

But the Tree of Life that was also in the garden, God had now secured it so Adam & Eve couldn't eat of its fruit & live forever in a sinful state: an unnatural state to be in for a sinner; the payment for sin is death (Rom 6:23).

Wisdom of Solomon 1:13

"For God made not death: neither hath he pleasure in the destruction of the living."

My question: How do he said like this. God created tree of death and life in Eden. It contradict this verse.

Why Martin Luther translated this verse?
