Rhonda,

The word BEMA is not found in our English bibles. It is found in the Greek text and it is a word that refers to the judgment seat of Christ, the BEMA seat. This is not the same as the Great White Throne judgment. This is the judgment seat of Christ.

The phrase "Judgment seat of Christ" is found in a few places in the NT. 2 Corinthians 5:10 is one place. All believers will appear before the BEMA seat of Christ.

The Bema seat was the platform that the Roman officials would sit on at the Coliseum games as they were meting out judgment. But it's more known for the stand which you come to at the Olympic Games after you run your race to get your prize.

If you watch the Olympics, the first, second, and third-place athletes, get up on this stand and they give them a medal. And they stand up there and play the anthem of the person that came in first place.

That is the same as the Bema seat or judgment seat of Christ. It's not the judgment of heaven and hell. We are already assured of heaven in Christ. But we will be judged and that judgment is described for us in 1 Corinthians Chapter 3.

What is 'BEAMA'? And where is it in the Bible? Thanks!

ON CALIFORNIA WILDFIRES

In order to put the California wildfires into a 'spiritual' context we invite you to visit the 'Current Events' page of our website. There are several entries that will explain God's wrath and why people's prayers are all in vain (Matthew 15:9). You can learn more about our Ministry in Christ by Googling our 'names' or the article "False Apostles and False Christs' or 'A World Deceived'. There is also a 'Contact' page for further communication. We invite you to review the 'Letter of Introduction' on the 'Introduction' page of the website. It highlights some of our work. Please note that our website was visited last year by people from over 160 countries. There are a total of 193 countries throughout the world plus the Vatican and Palestine that are listed as observer states.

It should be noted that in over 36 years of service we have never collected/received, solicited or requested donations. The gift of 'Life' was freely given and freely do we give to all those that believe (2 Kings 5:16; Matthew 6:26; 10:8).

Seek, and ye shall find (Matthew 7:7).

Robyn Hocking - In reply on Revelation 15:5 Rebekah Bates

Hi Rebekah, I find several references to Lucifer being the covering Cherub but not of the Mercy seat or Beama, Could You let me know where this reference is from please?

My research has led me to understand that linked to his description of the light bearer ( not light in himself) as covering cherub he most likely reflected the True Light / Glory of God. Many descriptions of the throne Of God are as having the appearance of a rainbow behind it. Considering the beauty and colours described by God as to How Lucifer was formed one could expect such a covering to reflect a rainbow effect. Possibly, now a new, more beautiful and faithful cherub would most likely been formed to continue the function. But through Lucifers great vanity he no longer qualifies. I don't believe it was covering in the sense of protection as much as it was covering in the sense of magnifying the presence or the Beauty of the Glory. I hope this is of Help to your understanding.

God bless you and prosper your understanding.

Women are to take a less authoritative role. Women are encouraged to teach other women (Titus 2:3-5). The Bible also does not restrict women from teaching children. The only activity women are restricted from is teaching or having spiritual authority over men. This precludes women from serving as pastors to men.

Rebekah Bates's comment on 2020-07-31 13:40:59:

I enjoy reading and understanding GOD'S word. I do have a question relating to heavens mercy seat.

Prior to the rebellion and downfall of Lucifer, scripture teaches us that Lucifer held a high ranking position in GOD'S heavenly government as the cherubim who covereth the mercy seat.

My question is this: Why did the mercy seat and/or GOD'S throne need covering? What or who did it need protection from since it was in heaven? Thank you in advance for your response. Have a blessed day...
