The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear, means it is by Christ Jesus alone that God has brought me out of darkness and into His marvelous light that same light that leads and guides me by His grace. By grace I am saved through faith in Christ Jesus, and not of any of my own doing. Because He is my Shepherd, and if He be for me, nothing can prevail against me, I have nothing to fear. The Lord is the strength of my life means I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me and nothing shall be impossible for me.

As we grow deeper in faith we start to see the truth amongst our blind eyes. We start to see the truth of all around us. Its now only your faith to keep you moving and to see the world as a happy place. Evil becomes no more. Love is all around now.

MockingBird's comment on 2014-08-12 05:55:07:

There are two forces one is faith the other is fear. Faith activates God on my behalf and fear activates the devil against me. Faith is the stronger force. The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear. The Lord is my strength Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world . Mercy and Grace added into me When I believe God and it is accounted to me as righteousness.

Olabode's comment on 2014-08-12 01:08:46:

The Bible says the light shines in the darkness and the darkness comprehended it not.Meaning that, if we make the Lord as our light and salvation, nothing to fear.Weather principalities and power, rulers of darkness in high places, terror by night, arrow that flies by day etc. At the same time, when God is our strength and life, that is, our power, energy, supporter, backbone, pillar, etc. we will not afraid of anything anybody. No wonder, the bible says greater is he that is in me than he that in the world.

Hannah's comment on 2014-06-26 23:25:01:

Ps 27 1 is word of faith, when we sit in darkness as we believe that God is lights and their is no darkness in him. This psalm give us assurance and confidence that He is God , our lights and salvation, therefore we have nothing to be afraid of as long as we are saved and we have genuine relationship with Him.

David is challenging satan with the power of God. I believe that there would be no fear of the devil in the world if everyone believed what David believed. And everyone would serve God to the fullest!! We should never fear what man or satan or anything around us can do to us! God is all powerful!!

God is my light and my salvation

Matilda Perry's comment on 2013-06-23 00:51:47:

The Sovereign God is the leader and protector of his life; The LORD also strengths him to be bold and confident, the faith of knowing He will lead him through darkness and trouble, protect him in the midst. Gods spiritual love and favor overcomes fear because God does not give the spirit of fear but of love peace and a sound mind. I am glad God my Father promises this to us just like He did to David.

psalms 1 is saying that we most know that God is our strength when we r weak;he also tell's us that most not be afraid when the devil comes to tell us we can't do this or that;God is telling us that the devil is a liar; so when we face with something or find our back aganst the wall we most call on the name of jesus to help us,and he will.as christians we most depend on jesus every day in our walk with him.he his our biger brother to help us every day.

In this era where there is so much violence, hatred, and suffering; we can say this psalm as a prayer. And it fortifies me against fear of harm or death in the very bad neighborhood I live in. Often, it is calmness and lack of fear that has saved my life here. Whom shall I fear? Not men.
