We should do all we can to fulfill our word, even if it is very difficult to do so.

In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he honors those who fear the Lord; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change. Psalms 15:4 I don't understand what this means? A bad person is despised, He honors who fear the Lord...why would anyone fear the Lord? He is one who is good to us. Swearing to your own hurt and not making a change. Is this talking about people who are in bad situations and they know it and they don't get out of them? Or is it talking about people who behave badly and know it and don't change?
