This verse begins, I am Thine. This is a statement of fact. David belonged to the Lord in every way possible. He was the Lord's servant and friend. David had no friends that were enemies of God. In this verse, David is requesting to be saved. I believe this is connected to the next verse where he mentions the wicked lying in wait to destroy him. His confidence is seen in what follows. "For I have sought Thy precepts". This is a standard response for David from his youth. This is the ability to look at the present disastrous circumstances with a confident hopeful outcome. Knowing God allows you to have that hope.
