Quicken me, means to make alive or to revive. David knew only through God the life source, could he hope to walk in obedience to His testimony. No one, at no time, has had the ability to live a holy standard without God 's word and the Holy Spirit 's empowerment. A person wouldn 't be capable of even knowing what would be according to God 's will, let alone living that standard apart from Him.
