This is not referring to a generation of people, but a chain of events. This generation or chain of events that Jesus spoke of, will continue until He returns with all he holy angels to give Christians immortal bodies and pour out God 's wrath on the unbelievers.

I believe that our Lord, at that time, was speaking about a future time. Israel became a nation in 1948.I believe that that generation could be the generation alive today. A generation is 100 years.1948 to 2048?Could the second advent happen between those years? It is possible.

...it means the sub-generations from Jesus Christ to we the last sub-generation would not come to an end before we see Jesus coming back. Jesus would come in this very sub-generation of ours.
