the phrase: "if it were possible" was said be Jesus....so there is something to it, yet in His situation it was not possible. by talking about the Elect....we need to define elect: then we need to see the purpose in adding that clause "if it were possible".....it is either possible or it is not possible. one thought track leads to God will not hinder one of the elect from being tric-ked. The other thought track would be it is impossible for the elect to be tric-ked. The implications lead either to there is no safety in being an elect, that even the most devout in Christ can fall. OR, that God has put a seal on the elect that they cannot fall.... which brings us right back to once truly saved, always saved, and chosen from BEFORE the world was formed Eph 1, or our faith depends on our works.... It is God's Word that says we are his, we are in his hands and no one or nothing can separate us from the Love of Christ....

First need understanding of "elect".if it means "J calvin's" definition, then "elect"has also to mean the warning is unnecessary because anyone who can be tempted and lost was damned from the beginning even before they were born. Preaching becomes unnecessary because of his view of predestination. Everyone who will be saved, according to " Calvinism " is chosen and predestinated and thus immune to choice. Again, why bother with trying to understand if from the get-go reasoning is within determinism. Maybe, just maybe, the holy spirit can speak within those who are born of spiritual birthing. A duck does not have to have philosophical help to quack. One who is born of God, truly ,has deeper resource than philosophical principles from debatable wordsmithing.

If the elect could be fooled...it would be called an elect trick.
The elect trick is control of secular word with the rf chip to track people globally and control the markets. Electrical currency versus paper money. Electronic tether or global electronic tracking. I think this is why the amish steer clear of electricity. Satan mascarades as an angel of light...the electric light bulb does not shine nor dos a television tell a vision if the plug is pulled. Jesus christ is the light of the world. Jesus has a kingship...satan has a sin king ship.

I think that the entire Bible is from God and God only. No human being can prove it otherwise. I am a dedicated Seventh Day Adventist and will be till I pass away. The Bible is trustworthy and true in every single way and I beleive in it with all my heart.

I see it sadly enough. Many who say Lord, LOrd, yet thier lives do not reflect him. The Elect seasoned Saints being led astray. We must Watch as well as Pray!

I believe that this so true about many of our Charismatic Christians and also organised religion. These false prophets set themselves up as Gods messengers but they are just men pretending to believe. Christ is our only leader and it is his example and the words of scripture that we should follow. As for Mark's comment, 'Dont be afraid mark this isn't the end time only the time BEFORE the end times. Read the Scripture. It says that no one Knows when the end time will be except for God.'
