Scott,

Matthew 24:13

He that keeps the faith to the end, will be saved means just that. At Revelation 11:15 and 1 Thessalonians 4:17 it happens. Whether you are a firstfruit, or part of the 2nd resurrection, you endured and will be rewarded.

Blessings, and make the most of the time left.

Brother Scott, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endue to the END (times), the same shall be saved.

You say the subject is end times and tribulation.

Did the people 1900 years ago have to consider this verse also. Did they died without Christ; not making it to the end times and tribulation. Whats going to happen to you if you die before the tribulation and the end times come. I don't think you understand End TIME and TRIBULATION.

Revelation 22:10 Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for THE TIME IS AT HAND.

I COME QUICKLY

Revelation 3:11

Revelation 22:7

Revelation 22:12

Revelation 22:20

Revelation 2:16

Revelation 11:14

Revelation 2:5

It has been 2000 year since these words were written; is that QUICKLY, perhaps with more study and more REVELATION, TRUTH would be more clear.

Hebrews 9:28

Colossians 3:4

He APPEARS to us now in TRUTH of HIS WORD (written and living, Holy Spirit). At the death of this body of flesh (end time) he shall APPEAR to us to FACE to FACE.

1 John 3:2

Ephesians 4:13

Ephesians 1:10

Isaiah 27:12 ....and ye shall be gathered ONE BY ONE...

Matthew 24:13, "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

The literal translation from the Greek is, but the one who HAS endured, not the one who will, but the one who has endured unto the end, this one will be saved.

The first thing is, because it is an Aorist Participle, it shows the proof of those who are saved, and it matches the rest of the teachings in the New Testament.

The person who is saved WILL endure to the end. So we have the proof, and secondly, the promise of salvation. That is a promise!

Since the Bible uses a lot of future tenses, some say that salvation isn't here and now, but later. No! that is a promise. You are saved now. And when all this is over, the ones who will be saved are the ones who have endured unto the end.

Salvation is present tense. It is something we have now. All those who have been born of God's Spirit are the ones who endure till the end!

Scott Cobler's comment on 2021-05-29 02:25:30:

I don't understand why no one is looking at the context of the verse. The subject is the end times and tribulation. You have to look at that phrase in the context of the chapter. It's talking about enduring to the end of the tribulation during the end times.

S.W. Kim's comment on 2015-06-22 19:01:31:

Originally i was one of many who believed once saved always saved, but not anymore. We have to endure to the end mainly turning away from sin, and walking in the spirit under grace through faith in christ our lord and savior, and not by the works of the law. This passage is crystal clear to me, and was spoken from Jesus. "And you will be hated by all for my names sake, but he who endures to the end shall be saved " Mathew 24:10 12 talks about many believers during tribulation that will fall away. Revelations 14:9-11 talks about the punishment to those that takes up the mark of the beast. Revelations 3:15,16 explains what Jesus will do to all the lukewarm believers. You are eitherwith him and God or with the enemy, the adversary, and there is no inbetween. Galatians 5:4 Hebrews 10:26 are important scriptures to consider as well. So basically, we have to endure to the very end by turning away from sins, and abiding by Jesus 's commands to love God with all our hearts, all our souls, all our strength, and to love our neighbors. Show unconditional love towards our brothers and sisters because "love " covers a multitude of sins 1Peter 4:8 this is Jesus 's greatest commandment of all. God bless everyone, and peace be with you all! Amen!

My understanding is he who holds fast to Christ "s testimony of himself shall be saved. He who has the son has life, he who has not the son, has not life.

Pastor Joe's comment on 2014-08-14 05:15:12:

I have been a Christian since I was seventeen years old and I truly believe I got saved by God 's Grace. Born again As much as this be so why do I have to endure until the end as far as natural life is concerned to be saved when I have already been saved? I think there is a possibility that I endured until the end when I got saved and became a new creature in Jesus Christ. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature old things are passed away behold, all things become new. I Cor. 5 17 KJV It is difficult for me to understand how you can have anything eternal or everlasting and have it today and loose it tomorrow.

Those,who will tolerate
the end ,they will save because that time every people will be full of sins, those who will tolerate that time and if they have faith on god and good deed, their sin will wash away .their soul will be in heaven.

salvation is not attained in the beginning at conversion.believing, repentance & water baptism is the start of that conversion. then the baptism of the Holy Ghost allows a renewing (transformation) of the mind to occur.IF we can keep ourselves until the end (ours or "the" end ...then we have attained salvation. salvation is worked through, as we grow up 'into' him, not sprung on us like an infant receiving a college degree

Michael's comment on 2013-08-12 11:58:20:

To paraphrase:

He that retains his love for and loyalty to the truth that is God, despite being surrounded by the negative influences of this world, shall in the end be delivered from the darkness.

This is what the p***age means to me. It has helped give me the strength I needed to continue when what I wanted was to put a bullet in my brain. I love the Lord Jesus and I CAN WAIT to be with him.

Arpi Jakab's comment on 2013-06-20 09:27:55:

If you truly have a personal relationship with Jesus, you fear God, you trust in his promises; can you live a life of disobedience? Not possible. You follow because you are saved, you don't loose your salvation 'cause you don't follow. You can't follow, if you are not saved.

Victor Martinez's comment on 2013-05-30 16:54:39:

It appears that Michael Massi's comment is right on. Rightly dividing the word of God is extremely important when studying the Holy Bible. This is the church age of grace. I can understand why some feel people are not in Christ and don't deserve Heaven if they mix with the worldly things after accepting Christ. Those individuals do not lose their salvation, but rather lose their rewards at the Judgment Seat of Christ. They will be saved from fire only. Once you are "born again" into God's family, you cannot be unborn, the same as to why you can't be unborn from your earthly parents. It is a permanent thing. I encourage you all to study the King James Bible and study with those who read from it. There are no contradictions in it, which is why there is less confusion. Study the dispensation of the Lord's Words (2 Tim 2:15) because He told us that it would be inspirational and preserved forever (Psalms 12:6-7) God bless all of you and live in His words that were left here for us.

Glenn Ford's comment on 2013-04-12 03:55:18:

Jesus wants us to continue in our faith once we recieve the Holy Spirit regardless of the circumstances that surrounds us. "I will never forsake you."

Wayne Denning's comment on 2012-07-21 13:45:00:

This is a wake up call! I am very disappointed that "Christians" have tucked their salvation experience in their pocket and gone off to become one of the guys in the world. When Christ promised eternal life he used verbs that were assuming the believer would stay on the path (you know, the straight and narrow one.)

If you buy a car and throw away the manual, not following the manufacturer's stipulations, you void your warraanty. How much more true is it in the case of our redeemer? I am speaking of the persons who really had a true conversion experience, were sorry for their sins and really meant it when they said they would follow Christ. However, following the conversion, we are still allowed access to the steering wheel. It's called free moral agency. Unfortunately, many with the real thing look left and right and like what they see in this world. We are instructed to be in the world and not of the world. That's not hard to understand. Is it?

Right now, so many believers have dropped their guard and this includes ministers and are in real danger of missing the reward they were once sure of and of course hell is the "default." Narrow is the way - and few there be that find it. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus.

Karin's comment on 2011-07-31 17:13:06:

I think it means that in the face of adversity, we don't deny our faith in favour of an easy ride, prior to this it says some will 'wax cold', this is about going the full 9 yards. You align yourself to Christ and nothing should waver you from that, you need to endure to the end. God give us the strength to face our fears Amen.

Pastor Daniel Peak's comment on 2010-12-04 20:14:33:

This scripture is simple if you are willing to believe what God says instead of saying well He said that but he meant this. Matthew 24:13 simply means that if we are saved, and hold true to GOd, obstaining from sin, or if we sin, repenting, until our death, then we will recieve the salvation that God has promised. But if you are saved, then turn back to sin, and do not remain true, you will die in your sins and go to hell. simple. God Bless!!

Michael Massi's comment on 2010-10-22 07:30:01:

According to my understanding, there are approx 7 dispensations in the history of man and during the 7 years of tribulation, the world will be in a different dispensation. Right now we are in the dispensation of grace; "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved". I believe that if we are sincere, we are saved and cannot lose our salvation. But during the 7 years of tribulation, some people will be saying, "Wow! those Christians were right, I'm going to believe". But now God says, "But he that endures to the end....." Now it's not only a question of your belief, it's a question of your longevity that will prove you are really sincere and that you're not just giving the Lord lip service in order to save your eternal life. Now you will have to prove that you will believe even unto death, in order to be saved. I haven't heard any explanation so far that convinces me that I am wrong. I prayed on this and the Lord gave me this interpretation and so far, it's the only one that fits into all of Matt 24. Thankyou and God Bless. Michael Massi
