Loving with the whole Heart....soul....mind. 1st of all i think we need to realize that we are not of our own but we are of Christ. He has purchase us, not by silver and gold but with the precious blood of Lord Jesus Christ. We all know that we are nothing but a worst sinners, sinners from our mothers womb.... God had to give his own and only son Jesus to die in our instead so that through him we might be save. According to bible it is written that we were chosen for salvation before that foundation of the world. Though however worst sinners we are God through his abundant grace n mercy wanted to forgive n clean us from our sins. It pleased God to provide us salvation through our mustard seed like faith. In all ways we can see that Gods love towards us is exceedingly great, beyond our understanding. But all this things have i mention here is to

I completely agree with Jennifer 's comment 3 22 2011. You are absolutely correct. These were some of the same thoughts I had. It 's amazing how the Holy Ghost will confirm God 's word I will add that with God, it is ALL or nothing. There is no in between or half hearted, half minded serving and loving Him.

God 's nature is love and since we are born again we have been adopted into the family of God. As a result we can meet the requirements of this Scripture because the love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts.

There are three major things to be considered before we can finally say we love God according to today verse HEART organ that pumps blood from the blood vessels to various parts of the body. SOUL spiritual nature of humans, regarded as immortal, separable from the body at death and susceptible to happiness or misery in a future state. MIND man consciousness that originates in the brain and is manifested especially in thought, perception, emotion, will, memory and imagination. Heart, Soul and mind must cooperate together in order to love him genuinely. if we love him according to John 14v15 we will keep his commandments, not sin against him, serve him with everything within us. Please God, help me to love you with the whole of my heart, soul and spirit.

This love is about denying oneself for the sake of loving both God then man.lf you can love one you cannot see, surely you can love those around you as such.Jesus Christ Our Lord did.

To love Jehovah God wholeheartedly refers to your innermost self, your motivations, your attitudes, and your deep emotions, along with your thinking faculties. Thus to love Jehovah God with your whole heart means that you love him dearly and that above everything else in life it is your considered choice to make his heart glad.

God bless you. If we love the Lord with all our heart and all our mind, then we will DO what He commands. Solomon said the most important thing we can do on this earth is to fear God and obey his commands. It is the whole duty of man. Ecc 12:13. So WHAT exactly ARE those commands?
According to the bible is is the 10 commandments. 1John 2:3-7 says we have come to know him if we obey his commands and if he does NOT DO what he commands then he is a liar. That we are to walk as Jesus did. So Jesus kept the Sabbath day as was his custom, he kept the Passover with his disciples. He kept all the appointed Feasts of God. John writes that this is not a new command but an old one that we have had since the beginning. The 10 commandments~! Now we don't keep the old covenant 10 commandments with all its regulations and sacrifices. Now we keep the new covenant 10 commandments that Jesus kept as well as the disciples who were taught by Jesus. Jesus is the final sacrifice for all the daily, weekly, yearly sacrifices. So we keep the new covenant as Jesus taught us . If you are not keeping Sabbath the 7th day and if your church does not keep the feasts of God ,then you are not in Zion, the Church of God. So that means then you are worshiping God in vain. The bible clearly tells us the salvation comes out of Zion and that God dwells in Zion. Zion is the place where God's holy and appointed Feasts are kept....Remember the Sabbath by keeping it holy.

one of the things that i'm learning and practicing, is to keep it simple. Jesus is teaching that he commands believers to love Him with our whole heart, soul and mind. This means that we believe he is God, that we trust Him and that we will obey. We also understand that we're in a process (santification).
Nana Ama's comment on 2013-09-25 01:28:30:
To love the Lord thy God, is to obey and do what he desires of you, because if you love someone you do everything the person says or everything the person ask you to, so we should read the bible and do what the bible says. Thank you

The verse is simply requiring us to abstain from sin s with all our hearts, all our souls and all our minds.
Jennifer's comment on 2011-03-22 13:02:29:
The Lord Jesus Christ demands of the listeners "Do this and thou shalt live." On Sunday a speaker said that nobody has ever been able to do this, neither love their neighbour, and we are not to pretend that we do. Only Christ has ever been able to do this! This to me shows the darkness of the speaker, as by saying this then he is portraying the lie that nobody is saved, although he does not see this. God does not command something that we cannot do. But one thing is for sure, and that is unless we are born again of the Spirit of God and have His love shed abroad in our hearts, it would be impossible to do this. Then, yes we do love Him with all our hearts, souls, minds and strength and our neighbour as ourselves, as Gods law is then written in our hearts. This is true love, not a selfish human love, but agape, the love of God! If we love him we will keep his commandments, and they are not grievous. That is because obedience comes from the law which is written in our hearts; the hearts of those who have been regenerated and saved. God is a jealous God and He will not allow any gods before him. All that takes precedence in our hearts and lives are idols. God demands first place and those who only love Him in word and tongue, but their hearts are far from Him are but a sounding brass and a tinkling symbol. To sum up, without the circumcision of the heart there can be no true love for God, neither for ones neighbour, but self will inevitably come first. Blessings.
