Our elder once shared to me about this verse in Matthew 16. wht stuck in my mind is the story of one of the riches and famous man on earth. he succumb to a lingering illness his money was not able to help cure him. on his dying bed, he requested his family to lay him on a special coffin with holes on both upper sides where both his arms could be extended out. He wished that all his famous and rich friends be invited on his wake and them be showed how he died, and them to look and remeber his outstrectched arms and open hands, expressing and warning them this lesson "WHEN WE ALL DIE, WE WILL ALL BE EMPTY HANDED, NO MATTER HOW MUCH WE WORK HARD TO GAIN THE WORLD " so now, let us ask our very own self, what are we busy about? is it simply for our gain or we are busy not just for our gain but for others as well. remember, God says, you save your soul by saving others FIRST... I was once out in the world and I gave it all I could. I had a thing about dancing and sex. I got used up. I am so glad God called me into His Kingdom He loved me so that He forgave me and took me in. Since I have been with my Lord Jesus I have been loved corrected chastised rebuked And Blessed beyond measure. I have and am still learning to lean on Jesus and to Trust Him more and More. Our soul is priceless. There is no amount of money, land or wordly possessions or status, that can ever measure up to or equal our soul. It is the MOST valuable part of our lives. Also, there is nothing we can give God to get us into heaven. There is no buying back our souls. There is no purgatory. If we leave out Jesus on this side and fail to be baptized with the Holdy Ghost and the fire, we will not get into heaven, and will be on our way to hell for eternity, where there is no end. Give up the world like Jesus did and follow Him.
