Jesus was the sacrificial lamb, He came there to present Himself for sacrifice for His people. To die and shed His blood to be carried in a vessel by the High Priest into the Holy of Holies, sprinkled on the Mercy Seat for the forgiveness of sins, according to His Fathers Will for Israel. The people were more interested in carrying vessels for merchandise and monetary profit. A few days later it was a pagan people that performed the sacrifice on a cross for the Gentiles.
