“For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;”

I can't separate Mark 10:7 from Mark 10:8, they strongly belong together.... "...and the two become one flesh". The biology, physiology, and emotional and psychological bonding that God has designed into mankind is for a man and a woman to be married - one man, one woman, for life. My feelings or desires for multiple women or for a man in this intimate and life-long bonding relationship is restricted to one man and one woman for life, regardless of reproductive results. One flesh can imply child, but this same language is used in 1 Corinthians 6:16 with regard to having sex with a prostitute - ONE FLESH, and clearly a child is not the byproduct. As human beings, we must RESTRICT ourselves from all kinds of desires, wants, wishes, and urges. It is healthy and good. One flesh is all encompassing, involving the whole human being - not just our bodies but also our emotions, desires, heart, mind, and even dreams. We mess up with this, and we are simply in pain, confused, hurt, frustrated, and a bunch of other negative emotions; and we often deal with these things for much of our lives when we don't restrict ourselves to one man and one woman for life when it comes to sexual activity.
