In Genesis 14 18 Melchizedek an acknowledged type of Jesus Christ king of Salem peace priest of God Most High brought out bread and wine and blessed Abraham saying Blessed be Abram by God Most High maker of heaven and earth Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything he had won in the battle with Chedorlaomer One needs to read the full account in Genesis where the Lord came to Abram in a vision and told him Fear not Abram I am your shield your reward shall be very great From all this it seems to me that in these encounters Abram indeed saw Christ and rejoiced exceedingly from this revelation

I BELIEVE ABRAHAM SAW JESUS'S DAY BY THE EYE OF FAITH LIKE AS WE DO.ALSO I BELIEVE HE SAW JESUS
IN THE PERSON OF MELCHADECH. I KNOW HE SAW
JESUS IN THE PLAINS OF MAMRE AS HE STOOD IN HIS
TENT DOOR. ABRAHAM NOT ONLY SAW HIM HE TALKED WITH HIM.

Many things are possible! Even: The tomb of Abraham was in the area that Jesus walked and roamed, perhaps before his ministry began. He could easily have gone to Abraham's tomb and raised him from death to satisfy a promise implied by his longing. But of course, such is not written. The wonder to me here is that mysteries like these seem to stretch and broaden the faith, not weaken it.

Darryl Dees's comment on 2011-07-09 13:28:56:

Abraham saw it by faith when Isaac was born.

Galatians 3:16 Now to A'bra-ham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Hebrews 2:16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of A'bra-ham.
