All believers are saints. Believers were but are not presently "just a sinner saved by grace ". Yes, while on this earth the saint of God can commit sin, but it is not who the saint really is in Christ. Christians do commit sins - every day. This statement is not a license to commit sin, but an acknowledgement of the obvious and point out that all believers have the provision of Christ and his Holy Spirit to not fall into temptation and then commit sin. If my name were Smith and I told my son "Smith 's do not lie " and then he lies - is he still a Smith. Of course he is. Then can a Smith lie. Of course they can. The point of saying to my son, "Smith 's do not lie " is not to say that if he lies he disqualifies himself as a "Smith " but to demonstrate to my son that as a Smith he does not have to lie. He, as a Smith, has the standing and provision and liberty to not sin.

Jesus made a way for us to live right he sent the Holy Ghost to lead and guide us into all truth . With God All THing Are Possible . Amen

Only one way to sin no more when you have failed the law of sin and death. Marvel not that ye must be born again. Then you are not sinning. Sin is a transgression of the law and makes all men guilty without excuse. Grace and salvation are the Gifts of God. It is His righteousness in you. We had none of our own nor could we. No not one. Vessels filled. Saved to the uttermost on Gods scale. Amen DO NOT discount the righteousness of God. Read...1 John 5 13....1 John 5 20 ..Hebrews 7 25 7 28!!!...Ephesians 2 8, Romans 8 1 2, Romans 6 22 defines a saved person "now ". The End is "surely " written note. Trust in the Lord he meant this John 6 44. He will do that. And he did this FOR US . Not us...Him! Hebrews 9 12 It is finished.

1 John 5 18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself and that wicked one toucheth him not Note we are not under law but grace if saved and the commandments are kept by the Blood of Jesus if you have the Holy Spirit ie saved You failed to Christ is the end of the law of righteousness to all who believeth Not all do The Law justifies no one even if kept perfect but would give knowledge of sin No man ever has kept it not a one and all fell short A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit Matthew 7 18 No Evil fruit Luke 15 7 I say unto you that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth more than over ninety and nine just persons which need no repentance The Just need no repentance

I have a question. What if someone says they are sorry and continue to live committing the same sins and have no change, are they forgiven? When it says go & sin no more, I take it that means just that.

Tim Kelton's comment on 2012-12-17 09:12:35:

Jesus mercy and compassion are still here for us as well. His final words to this women are simple, "Go and sin no more", go back to your first husband and no others, and don't sin again. She was caught in the act of Adultery with other men than her husband. If two people marry, that have Never been married before, they have become one in the sight of God, right, One flesh. Now, if that couple divorced, they both, "set themselves up to commit adultery", when they re-marry another or have a relationship outside (Their Marriage Bond....) They are Bound by God until one of them dies. What God hath joined together, let No Man put asunder. The sin was not the marriage to the first husband, so what is to be forgiven? God forgives me so I can marry again? Are we going to live our lives as the woman at the well, in sin? God forbid!! Fornication is the only true out for remarriage. Let's say I marry a woman who has a living husband, even though they are divorced, she is not, nor will ever be my wife according to God and Jesus. In this case I would be committing Fornication with her, she would be committing Adultery with me. "She has a living husband" and I don't have a living wife. Matthew 19:3-9 Self explanation...
