Here we see Jesus taking the time to make a scourge probably from the cords that were laying on the floor from the animals being brought in. This is a deliberate action on Jesus 's part. You can see him as takes the time while the zeal for His Father 's house is being marred. This is a different side of Jesus that many people fail to see. We often talk about the love of Jesus and fail to His Righteous indignation. They are about to experience this in the next verse.
