That's a great message & great Truths you shared, Anna. Our eyes need to be turned upward & not sideways or looking back. Our hope, our strength, & our deliverance lies only in the Lord of Glory. Man will fail us, Satan may buffet us, but God is our confidence & joy in all our circumstances because He is our Light, our Strength & the One we worship with all of our being. The Word tells us "fear not!" Why? Because no darkness on the face of this whole earth can overcome a child of God! Why? Because God is with us! When everything looks like it will fall apart, hold on! When everyone seems to be against you, hold on! The Lord gave me this scripture at a place in my life when I became afraid to move forword and as I talk to the lord about my concerns this scripture was reveiled to me as a source of encouragement. I think that is a great addage to live the fear part of life from in my personal experience, be it grief, changing homes, illness, turmoil. In a time of personal turmoil and extreme anxiety over what was a family disintegration and divorce, I prayed for God's help - this bible verse appeared in front of me and has been the source of comfort from that point on. That occurred in 1996. Two years later I was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei, an extremely rare mucinous abdominal cancer having no known cause, no known cure, and considered universally fatal. Very few people have lived much beyond 14 months after initial presentation with this disease... 15 years later I am still dealing with this cancer, as well as another new cancer. I continue to do well and work through the obstacles in front of me. This verse has continued to be the door to God for me and I am comforted in the knowledge that God has my back on everything placed in front of me. God is taking care of me.
