I believe the sentence in gen.3:22 was not complete as we can see, so I just want to know what would ve been the next words of God. beloved, it was satan who mistakenly caused Adam and Eve be like God, gen.3:22 ,which was not suppose to be so. see the devil can make you assume a position or perform something that seems great in your eyes but God ll not accept that, let us watch our lives well the devil is wise :there is a way that seem right to you but at the end ...... God richly bless you

question: we 've had a discussion and there are two trees mentioned in this chapter. Where was the tree of life? Was it hidden? God said that they would die aspirtiual death if eating of the tree of knowledge. So where was the tree of life? And what is it?

The tree of Life is Jesus
David W Jessup's comment on 2014-08-17 11:15:48:
I was taught that Adam and Eve would have lived forever, had they not eaten the forbidden fruit. However we have God 's statement regarding the necessity of keeping them away from the tree of life lest they live forever. Does that not imply that although they might live very lengthy lives eventually they would face death even if they had they had remained obedient to God?

It should be obvious the he is talking about the other race of men who were considered gods at the time. These are the same men who fathered the daughters that Cain went somewhere and got. These are the same people that Genesis 6 2 refered to when it says "the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair "...

Sorry trinitarians, the phrase God the Son or God the Spirit is not found in original translation of Gods word.

When JEHOVAH God says us he is talking to his Son JESUS (read John 17v5) when God created heaven and earth and everything in/on it he was with his Son and myriads of angels(read also Job38v4-10)

here God the Father is refering to the God the Son and God the Spirit when He say lest man become as one of us live for ever

God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, they are infact 3 different beings, they are One. "let 'Us' make man in 'Our' image". People think that the trinity is one person but if you go through the scriptures you will find that they are different beings. Jesus is know as the Son of God, He says..I am in the Father and the Father is in me...They are in agreement!! Like one church has many bodies, different people but they are all in agreement to God..Jesus also said on the cross..Father, why have you forsaken me? the scriptures have the answers to all your questions..don't take my word for it..go and study. Seek and you will find. Pray for wisdom. God bless. Amen

Fidel Cornelius King's comment on 2011-12-22 21:21:27:
Genesis chapter 3:22 to me means because Adam ate of the fruit of good and evil he is know imperfect and then if he eat of he fruit of life he will then live forever in an imperfect life... and God could not send his son Jesus Christ to save us because we would be living forever in a sinful life..therefore I believe he had to cast Adam out of the as well as Eve is to give mankind a second chance of an everlasting life.. I also believe that Eve could have been the only one to eat of the fruit of Knowledge and Adam could have said no..We would have been living in paradise.. because God told Adam not to eat of the tree...Eve ate of the tree first and the what? nothing happened? we did'nt fall till Adam ate of the tree.. since man sinned Man had to come to save man God in a form of man Jesus Christ...Amen...

V. 22b.Eat of the tree of life and live forever. After humanity chose the deceiver and was separated from God (died), they were also banned from eating the fruit of the other trees in the garden, especially the tree of life. God did not want his love project to live forever in this fallen miserable state of being. However; there is access to the tree of life and eternal existance after restoration to God. 1 John 1:1 describes Jesus as the Word of life (Maybe presentation or offer of life). Rev.22:14 says,"Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may go through the gates into the city. Only by relying on Jesus can we have this washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit(Titus 3:5). Lets press for that eternal life that God had planned for humanity, even before the fall.

Is god using 'the royal we' when he says "one of us" or is he perhaps refering to the polytheistc culture of the times? One can only wonder....
