Carleton's comment on 2020-09-09 11:25:16:

"The doctrine of Jesus Christ is the word of the heavenly Father. The doctrine of the Son and the testimony of the Holy Spirit is above (excels) all the teachings of the prophets, and it contains all that is necessary and conducive to salvation.

Nor can the will of the heavenly Father be found anywhere so clearly as in the words of Jesus Christ, by whom he has in these last days spoken, made known his will, and fully expressed it; hence all that is contrary, or not conformable, to the words of Christ, is not God's word or will; for "no other foundation can be laid, than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ"

You're so right Mishael. I believe when I pray I call Jesus Christ around 15-20 things. Most in your list. And so many people today are getting very hung up, and arguing, on saying "you should only call Him this or that". Thank you much for you posting a list of His names brother. God Bless!

What the Good Shepherd Does About Hirelings's comment on 2020-09-08 12:46:37:

This is proverbs 18:21

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

I don't know what verse you speak of?

A born again person should know we are not gods. Common sense that anybody is born with, knows they aren't a god. Reprobates do think they are gods.

Jesus has given born again believers, Authority, in His Name only; to help people.

To be saved and born again; or to lay on hands, or cast out devils. He authorizes His followers.

If you hear someone preach something else, they are held accountable to God for every word of error, or idle words, that proceeds OUT of their mouth. He will take care of that.

If it happens in a church, people need to handle it as taught in the Bible. All things must be done in order.

As a believer, you must pray to God, in Jesus Name; and lay out this entire incident. By faith, you must trust it will be dealt with.

We are Jesus's flock and He is the Good Shepherd.

Mishael

Allen's comment on 2020-09-08 02:48:38:

In proverbs 18.21 what does one understand by this verse?

Do I become a little god having the power of life and death.

This is so widely used today born again belivers

Chris's comment on 2020-09-08 02:06:24:

The Bible doesn't expand on Leah's 'tender eye' except to compare her to Rachel's beauty. The Hebrew word used for 'tender eye' means "weak or soft, wanting in clearness or brilliancy". So we cannot know for sure how Leah appeared but it may well have been eye lids that drooped or defective pupil alignment (just my thoughts). Whatever, Jacob was taken with Rachel' beauty, but Dad, Laban wanted the opportunity to have Leah married off first, so you have probably read of that deception in the rest of that chapter.

What does tender eyed mean?

hannah's comment on 2015-03-29 10:49:58:

I thinks it 's beautiful that in the end Jacob wanted to be buried with leah and not rachel. Out ward beauty doesn 't matter

Mark Nunes's comment on 2015-03-24 15:06:48:

Leah had beautiful tender sad eyes far apart and slanting down at the sides like Marylin Monroe This was her best feature but Rachel still had more going for her and was beautiful also and had a nice body. Fat was considered beautiful back then at a time when everyone worked so hard, ate so little and hardly any one got overweight. So maybe Leah was skinny. Well favored probably meant Rachel had a fuller figure but with a nice hourglass shape.

Sarah's comment on 2015-03-15 14:38:27:

No she was not blue eyed ,nor white, how did you gather that from that passage? You pastor knows not the word. All the nation of ISRAEL was, and is dark unto this day. She was pleasing to the eye, but not like Rachel . The Jews in ISRAEL today are of Russian descent.

Gilbert's comment on 2013-08-07 19:24:31:

Our pastor told is it meant she was blue eyed, and fair complected, which was considered a birth defect among brown eyed, dark skinned people.
