Shalom,

Thank you for your ministry, it's a blessing to me, I use your work every day and thank God for your talents being utilized for God's Kingdom and to reach people all over the globe with His Word, what a blessing!

My question is, does Genesis 11:10 mean that Shem was 98 years old when the flood occurred as according to Genesis 11:10 Shem was an 100 years old, and begat Arphaxad 2 years after the flood?

According to Gen 5:32 ... Noah was 500 years old : and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japhet.

According to Gen 7:6 ...Noah was 600 years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

Which would mean that the boys were 100 years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth or am I missing something?

Perhaps the 9 months in the womb and some other months while in the arc, which would add up to 2 years that are missing? Or how do I understand "begot" at the time of conception or at the time of birth? Please advise and thank you in advance,

God bless you,

Marta
