I actually found the Book of Jude part on this story, just now:

Context Summary

Jude 1:5-16 describes the nature, errors, and fate of false teachers plaguing the Christian church. Jude's readers seem to have been acquainted with Israel's history. This passage references Old Testament events to help explain the apostates' sins, the danger they pose, and how the Lord will punish them. Jude references the unbelief of Israel after the Lord delivered them from slavery in Egypt, rebellious angels, the ungodly people of Sodom and Gomorrah, and the dangers of allowing such people to mingle with other believers.

Chapter Context

Jude's brief letter describes men at their worst and God at His best. Believers are already on the victorious side! Those who mock God's truth and who follow their own desires all while claiming to be Christians, are the most dangerous kind of unbelievers. These persons pose a danger to themselves and to any Christians they might influence. In response, Christians need to focus on understanding the truth of God's written Word and submitting to His will.

None of this fits in with Michael the Archangel.

Jude 19 and what was the strife about's comment on 2021-04-08 22:22:37:

It's possible I remembered a different tussle someone had with Satan. I know there's a 2nd incident in Daniel. Where Gabriel was bringing an answer to Daniels prayer, and Michael had to fight principalities to get Gabriel through. Amazing when you consider it.

You're right in the point that Moses was already buried, and Michael was sent to guard the burial place. The point being that Satan wanted to use the body for idol worship or another reason? Here's part of the commentary on that:

" The key point here is that Michael, despite being a powerful being himself, refused to slander the Devil. This proves the arrogance of the apostates Jude is discussing. They are so conceited that they're doing what even an archangel won't!

Moses, Israel's leader during the exodus from Egypt, was buried by the Lord in an unknown place (Deuteronomy 34:1-6). According to the traditional account, Michael and the Devil had engaged in a dispute about the burial of Moses' body, but Michael would not slander the Devil. Instead, he yielded to God's authority by trusting Him to rebuke the Devil. We do not know the details of the dispute, but God may have assigned Michael with the task of guarding Moses' grave, and the Devil may have wanted to steal Moses' body to make it an object of worship."

Evidently it would be better to Google the History of Jude 1, and see what New Testament conflict he was having with the locals. I'll get back to you.

And thanks so much for bringing this to my split attention. Today my electric company swears I cancelled my service after the ice storm, a month ago. I didn't. They Couldn't resolve that they made an error; so I had to tell them I was going elsewhere to get service, which I did. Sounds similar to Michael & Satan, lol.

Hi Mishael, I have read many of your posts and you help lead many on their search for the truth including me. I do have a question; I have heard others say that Moses was taken to heaven. I don't know if what you said about Michael was sent to collect Moses' body, meant the same. This is not to debate or dispute it is just a question I have you may can help with. Jesus is the Firstfruits of those that slept, and by scripture it is clear Jesus was the first that gives us hope.

Acts 2:24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

How can anyone have been resurrected or overcome death before Jesus? Thanks Ron

I think maybe the scripture you seek is in Jude chapter 1:9

Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Comment: I believe this shows that Michael was sent by the Lord to collect the dead body of Moses

Use center of the page reference columns(with abc letters)

Write the leading scripture and the all the alphabet letters as they occur

Read all that and you should see additional info on the Genesis scriptures.

Take lots of notes

Steve Lynch's comment on 2020-07-05 16:45:33:

The earth was created perfect but it became void an without form. and the reason was because of satan's rebellion against god. and he drew in a third of god's children by his diseption. so what was once perfectly made then became void and without form. so god destroyed that earth age. we were all in our spiritual bodies then before god destroyed the first earth age. so then god brought forth the second earth age that we are living in now. but sin came into this earth age and it grieve god that he had made man in the flesh. but wasn't willing for man in the flesh to do that he himself wouldn't do us. so he was manifested in the flesh as jesus christ. and he gave his life on the cross for all of mankind. so now we have a choice to accept him as our lord an saviour an be redeemed of our sins by asking for his forgiveness. god was not willing that anyone would perish. so he sheds his grace on us all through jesus giving his life on the cross at calvary.

Mike's comment on 2020-06-13 09:45:34:

The earth "became" (Hebrew: hayah) without form and void...that is, it became without the form of God's righteousness and void of the knowledge of God as all are not righteous and have turned away out of the Way of righteousness and none understand:

Romans 3:10-12 KJV

(10) As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

(11) There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

(12) They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Darkness was upon the face of the deep as mankind's foolish heart (all together) had become darkened:

Romans 1:20-22 KJV

(20) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

(21) Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

(22) Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters....holy men of God speak (waters = tongues, languages, etc) as they are moved by the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 1:20-21 KJV

(20) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

(21) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Samuel Kim: if you use the search box when this site opens, type Lucifer. It will pull up all scriptures with that name/word. His name changed when he and the fallen angels got kicked out of Heaven; again for saying I WILL.

In Genesis 1:1 it says 'on the beginning'. I was told that in original language it says, IN BEGINNING God created the heaven and the earth.

The first thing that God created was TIME. Scripture says that God is the Alpha and Omega. (Which means the beginning and the end)of creation.

Samuel Kim's comment on 2020-04-19 13:31:41:

In Genesis 1:2, described that the earth was without form, and void; I wonder how was before this earthly condition? Was per-earth existed before formless earth or not? I don't think that Genesis 1:1-2 are not really true beginning for all things. Perhaps, that is beginning for men.

Leon Kruger's comment on 2015-01-12 02:38:45:

The earth-already existed. God is the God of excellence. Does he create chaos? For who was the earth originally created? What destroyed earth in the first place? The first ruler was found wanting and was thrown out of Heaven. Did he struck the earth and caused the destruction? Did this caused the 1st flood?

Judy's comment on 2014-12-26 19:22:38:

Genesis 1 1, 2 relates to a time before the six days outlined above. When these days commenced, the sun, moon, and stars were already in existence, their creation being referred to at Genesis 1 1. However, prior to these six days of creative activity the earth proved to be formless and waste and there was darkness upon the surface of the watery deep. Ge 1 2 Apparently, a swaddling band of cloud layers still enveloped the earth, preventing light from reaching its surface.

Jon Bovelgoush's comment on 2014-11-02 04:40:05:

Genesis has served to address questions held my many. How could you begin to explain what can not be understood? Genesis has done that for many who had no understanding of science and in times before there was an opportunity for education. Genesis fills in the void that is ignorance. It is certainly not a historical record but it is certainly filled with good lessons and principles that should not be wasted even though our understanding of the world and the universe has expanded in modern times.

leon's comment on 2014-05-12 04:41:49:

. That pre creation state is co extensive with that which we call God, namely energy matter in potential, and consciousness will. God must in some sense be conscious of being conscious if there is to be an act of creation. And God must moreover have the attribute of "will " if It is to will the act of creation. That first act of creation had to consist of a change of state from formless energy matter consisting of "no things " therefore complete stillness, and no motion, ie. the aforementioned state of equilibrium to a state of differentiation, in which motion occurs, and "things " therefore appear. According to this account, the reason God created our world by disturbing the primordial bliss state was so that It could have experience, specifically through the differentiated beings of Its creation. In the beginning there was the initial vibration motion which disturbed the equilibrium state that existed prior to creation. Call it the "big bang " if you will, but this scientific metaphor clearly begs the question 1 what is the force which created the motion of the big bang, and 2 from where comes the evident Intelligence which governs the Order that is so apparent in the universe. Creationists call that force "God, " and attribute that Intelligence to It. Science shies away from all talk of God, yet searches everywhere for Order. The realist in me tells me that this is a contradictory quest. A Science that focuses on energy matter ultimately, the laws of motion, vibration, in one form or another will never reveal all the laws of the universe and of creation because the consciousness will aspect of God is as essential an attribute of creation as is energy matter, and the former is different, as a matter of existential category, from the latter.

John's comment on 2014-03-24 12:11:45:

I believe the earthly realm was there from the beginning and God was going to decorate and beautify it for mankind habitation though it was covered by large bodies of water The main problem I see is DARKNESS that covered the face of the deep The book of revelations tells us about the war that happened between Michael the archangel and Lucifer and how Lucifer was defeated and cast down into the earth Since earth was covered with waters Lucifer had no where to go so he is the one referred to as darkness upon the face of the deep he could not go anywhere it was water everywhere So when God time to create came he had to deal FIRST with the devil darkness with his own word and he said let there be light so the devil was not a factor as far as God is concerned God created everything in the devils presence and the devil did nothing
