The devil has one mission to destroy through lies, ignorance but I have news for him, the LORD has placed us on a ROCK that higher than ourselves for one assignment to destroy every work the devil has created, greater is HIM who resides in us than who that is in the world.

Ephesians 6 11 Putting on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil to me means just simply studying the word and knowing exactly what we have in Jesus if we apply the word. Psalms explains how the word is a lamp for us. How can you be guided by the lamp if you do not know how to use it. The devil is very smart and has all kinds of devices that he is using in this present world to slowly destroy us all the way starting from the tv and now all the smartphones so many forms of evil communications that is available for this generation. If you have the word in your heart and in your mind then you can fight the devil trys to steal people 's mind if he can control the way you think then he already has a weapon to fight with. The bible states how a man thinketh in his heart then so is he. So we first must get rooted and grounded in the word so therefore we can fight.

For armour of GOD to be effect,we need to be free from sin.

Micheal Allotey's comment on 2014-03-03 09:55:49:

The armour of serves as a defensive and offensive mechanism for the believer To put on armour means you are either attacking or defending Soldiers wear armour for war The kind of armour paul was talking about is not just a physical weapon but a spiritual weapon In the book of 2 Corinthians 10 4 the Bible says for the weapons of our warfare are not canal but mighty in God through pulling down strongholds Stronghold in a man s life is something that he she has no power over A Stronghold can be something that restricts you prevents you intimidates you or stops you from getting to what God has set for you We need to deplore the armour in order to fight against principalities and to stand against the will of the Devil

I love the emphasis in "stand" in verses 11, 13 & 14. To stand means not to stumble, but to be steadfast. Awesome!

Be righteous as God said we must be, and live a Holy life because no evil can touch a holy staff. Evil is afraid of Holy.Being Holy and declaring what we are is the real amor of God.

V.11. Because so many Christians struggle with the wiles of the devil, I appreciate Bible statements promising ability to stand against him. Notice! It dosn't say that God will put the armor on us, but that we are to put it on. Neither, does it say we are to put on our own best will-power, determination or education. Since man is made a little lower than the angels (and the devil is a fallen angel) our best human tactics are no match against him. We can't overcome on our own, but neither will God do it without our involvment. Only we can apply to our lives that which only Jesus could have provided for us. In order to stand against any strong temptation to do wrong, we must cover our humaness with God's armor promises of the Bible. 2 Peter 1:3 says "God and Jesus our Lord has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness". When we declare, "I am an heir of God through the faith of Jesus, devil you were defeated by him and you are unable to rule me any longer, God's word will accomplish that for which it was sent. Thanks be to God for victory in Jesus.

Ben Weaver's comment on 2010-11-21 04:46:13:

I know how to put on a shirt but how do I dress myself with truth, righteousness, faith and the other gear listed here? Rom. 10:8-11 indicates the method is to believe and verbally declare what the Bible says about us and we will never be defeated. Instead of will-power and religious determination we must know and declare who we are and what we have, being in Jesus. To put on righteousness I would read 2 Cor. 5:21, place myself in the promise and verbally declare it, i.e. Sinse I am in Jesus, I am in right standing with God! For faith, read a faith promise, receive it for your own and verbally declare it. Likewise with the other pieces of needed armor. Now, read v. 13 in our chapter and declare Because of the armor God has given me in Jesus, I will stand against all tricks of the devil. Thanks be to God who gives us the victory.
