Beautiful passage of scripture. Sin is a time problem. I meet Jesus in chronos so I can live in kairos. Both words are Greek words which mean time. A chronos mindset we think of 24 hrs in a day things to do in a day in so much time in this life time plays a factor with everything we do. next life we leave time or chronos and go into eternity. I waste a lot of time in chronos Im busy about my Fathers business in kairos. While in chronos Im playing with my life. I live in laziness not realizing my time on this earth is running out. In kairos I spend every chance I get preaching to a dying world. I take avantage of this little time I have. I wake up early with Jesus I have breakfast with Him lunch and dinner . I sleep with my Jesus. I lay my head upon His breast and He holds me in His arms. I want more of my Jesus. What about you.

When can we redeem the time

Frederick's comment on 2014-09-26 22:36:14:

This verse indicates that we christians should always take caution in the world i.e. watch and pray always because the devil like a roaring lion seeking whom to devour. And right from the time of John the Baptist, the bible says, the Kingdom of God suffereth violence and the violence taketh it by force. Therefore We need to always recognize God our creator and His only begotten Son Jesus, in order to avoid sinning. Put God first in anything you are doing, do not relent on your own effort. acknowledge Him and He will direct thy path.

Because the days are so evil, we need to make the most of our time we have left doing Gods work , spreading the gospel to win souls

I believe redeeming the time means recovering lost opportunities most of them if not all by increasing our speed at doing God s work This is because we wasted more of our time in the world and more also we have little time left for the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

Dr. Sydney Chikukwa's comment on 2013-10-09 08:49:01:

V 15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. So we need spiritual wisdom to walk in the journey of christianity by redeeming time, to redeem is to buy back, in other words before we were born again we lost a lot of time to bring the gospel to others that served us. And if we are indeed children of the light we would have the thirsty to bring those in darkness to light, and we feel and wish we had repentant earlier to do more for God, and there is where time redemption comes into play, we focus and direct most of the time to the things of heavenly kingdom instead of earthly kingdom, so as to be wise. Remember fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and thus if we try to buy back time lost while in the world and utilise it for the kingdom glory w become wise, for we surely loose our life for the kingdom and the bible promises us that if we do loose our life we will surely recover our life as wise man, but the fools will try to serve their life and loose it at the end.

to redeem the time means avoid wasting time on unnecessary things and use the time to do things that will edify your christian life and the life of others to glorify the name of God our father. Moreover the days are really evil and if we as christian dont identify our priorities as far as the kingdom of god is concern, the enemy will easily still our time and our hearts base on the things we watch and listen to on TV and Radio. Our arch enemy knows the time is so short and is doing all to redeem the time but we children of God waste our precious time on useless tv shows instead of reading our bible or praying and before you know it u are in the camp of the enemy.

i believe redeeming the time is setting the kingdom of God as the first priority in our life
and following the order of putting God first , then family and then others .This will allow us to fulfil His will in our lives and that we will not be dragged by the world and our own agenda
