Micah's comment on 2021-02-27 10:33:23:

God does speak to his people today. Some Bible scriptures can only be understood by revelation. It is not good to make assumptions about the Bible unless it is written. In a lot of denominations people believe things in the scriptures have passed away and that is because people come up with these ideas that have no bible foundation. The scriptures cannot be understood fully by simply reading. I always pray for understanding and revelation before reading God's word and I do receive as requested.

Luke 24:45

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

Mark 4:11

And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

1 Corinthians 2:14

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

"God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;"Heb 1:1-2

God spoke directly to Adam, Cain, probably Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Hagar, Jacob, Moses, Balaam, Joshua and there are more. I happen to believe that most appearances of The Angel (messenger) of The Lord is The Pre-Incarnate Christ. Paul heard from God on the road to Damascus and maybe in his 3 years in Arabia.

God can do whatever He chooses to do. As a rule in this age, God has spoken. I do nit believe that there will be any new revelation. The canon is complete.

Hello Terri,

Someone the other day asked the question of "how do I know if I have the Holy Ghost". Receiving two great replies from two wonderful brothers here. Here is the link for you to read them: https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Discussion-Thread-152552/#0

Hope that helps. God Bless.

How do you know for sure that the Holy Spirit is inside of you? Is it that feeling before you say something that tells you that is not to be said, or don't do that, or wait not yet?

It is so wonderful to have our Lord 's Bible that we can read, understand and apply His words to our lives. Our words must reflect the will of God and work to build up His kingdom. It is so great to know that even our words used according to His will can administer grace to the hearer.

MockingBird's comment on 2015-03-14 07:43:41:

Corrupt communication is anything that does not edify. Edify : exhort :with all longsuffering : Speak the truth in love : in the word of God. I believe that this scripture is a every day accurance and to be bathed in prayer for myself to do. The tongue can no man tame but with help of Holy Spirit I can. I praise God that He does not leave me alone to do what He says to do. I cannot do it by myself.

This verse shows how important it is to watch what we say. People say so many vulgar and filthy things today and they completely disregard this scripture. This shows that God judges us not only for what we do but also for what we say.

To be very honest, I struggled with this particular chapter at first. Only because I'm always a person who wants to negotiate. I didn't like the first part of this chapter, but the second part I could do...lol; it was just a process. By the grace of GOD I'll get it together.
