As I watch the heartache, deceit, betrayal, and selfishness in crumbling marriages all around, couldn't this verse be referring to the end of sorrows for some and the potential for likely pain, albeit in growth, for the other? I'm finding little desire to go to any wedding celebrations bc it means stretching and growth and potentially heartache and separation.

It serves us best to go to the house of mourning for it makes us realize that we too will die, but most importantly it makes us see the importance of dying in good name.(7:1)Like the loved one we have come to pay our respect to, those who pass away seve as examples for us to follow and what better example than Jesus Christ who died and was ressurected.
