Glenn, Hoarding? What did Joseph do in Egypt? he saved food for hard times. Jesus in Matthew 24 warned of famine so what should we do? Some will claim this does not apply to Christians, I beg to differ. Jesus was not speaking to unbelievers.

We should plant the seed and pray and trust the Lord to provide the rain.

Look up Holodomor

Excellent! Speech is definitely a vessel of our Body that we can have more control over. when I think about filthy speech I think of cursing and crude humor words. Speech today is very vile, offensive, and burdened with unnecessary sexual references. A true christian guards his tongue, and utters speech befitting of a christian.

many and most christians are left, trying in and of their own willpower to put off the deeds of the flesh ,which these are,and failing miserably. so,the answer is the cross,by exercising faith in jesus christ, daily, i can do all things through HIM,and through HIM alone. we overcome by the blood of the lamb. denying self and embracing what HE did at the cross not only for our salvation but also for our sanctification and for deliverance.
