"I believe the wine today is very different from wine in Jesus' day. Back in Jesus day there was no refrigeration system so wine and water was there was to drink. Wine in Jesus' day was not fermented as it is today. Trying to use the Bible to justify consuming alcoholic beverages to get drunk is just wrong/sin."     > Respond now...

"Glory to God for sending His own Son (God incarnate) to be born of a virgin and to die for us on the cross so that we could be saved from our sins. What a Saviour! I have not observed Christmas for over thirty years because I believe that mixing pagan tradition with His holy birth dishonors my Saviour. If God wanted us to observe Jesus' birth would He not have revealed this to us in His Word? "     > Respond now...

"No one has ever seen the Father but Jesus. Has anyone out there seen Jesus? In November of 2008 around 5pm, Our Lord Jesus appeared with His heavenly host to me when I was very sick. He did not speak, but smiled to me. In my 69 years of life, the few minutes spent with Him, is the high point of my life. Never really understood why He blessed a sinner like me so wonderfully. Jesus is alive!!"     > Respond now...

"This scripture also tells us that long hair on a woman is power, who would not want more power from God. It is witnessing power to the unbelieving. To judge we would want to judge in ourselves as God would have us to judge not as we would judge. Gods ways are always the best way. "     > Respond now...

" The Bible says that it is a sham for a woman to pray uncovered and it is a shame for a man to pray covered and their hair is the covering that God has given them. Therefore if people say it is ok for a woman to pray uncovered then it would be ok for the man to pray covered. It is a shame, and we are pleasing ourselves when we go against what God has said, who is the one we will stand before."     > Respond now...

"Hi Alex; I think I understand what you're saying: but the whole purpose for Jesus leaving us in the world for now is for the Holy Spirit in us to convict the world by their seeing the grace of God in our lives as well as in our testimony. As far as looking for signs of His coming; it is the falling away of the many, and the transgressors coming to the full, and universal indifference and unbelief."     > Respond now...

"Lambert; "recompense" means to repay or requite, as a reward or for an injury or loss; something given or done in return for something else; repayment, remuneration, requital, or reward; something given or done to make up for a loss, injury, etc.; compensation:(Collins Dictionary). Luke 14:14 the meaning is to repay. Joel 3:4 in the sense of toil and burden-bearing to repay with a similar action. "     > Respond now...

"For the one who commented we are all God's children, please read the rest of the scripture. We are all definitely not a child of God if we are not in Christ Jesus, To be a true child of God you must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and trust in His death on Calvary for salvation. Jesus said in the 3rd chapter of John, " Nicodemus, you must be born again, do not marvel at this saying God bless you."     > Respond now...

"To everyone; We cannot ignore or dismiss all the multitudes of Scriptures which say plainly that the Anointed, the Christ, IS THE SON OF GOD COME IN THE FLESH; because of one or two MIS-interpreted sayings that are wrenched out of context to force a meaning never intended...i.e.; that Jesus is somehow less than He says He is. "Stephen Z; I just want to point out to you that though part of what you write is accurate and correct according to the Scriptures; a better knowledge of the entire history with respect to God's plan for man, shows more than what you say; and we have a tendency to negate the importance of the things done in past ages because our perception of history is so short. ""There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." Does this mean that when we arrive in glory to meet the LORD in the Day of Eternity, that we will all look alike and be all the same? I don't think so! For John wrote in the Prophecy about a multitude that no man can number small AND greast, from out of every Nation and tribe and kindred and tongue worshiping before the Throne. And what about each one's abilities and work that Jesus shall give us to do, and the authority over cities etc? As far as any of us being superior or inferior, sacred or common, the leader or the helper NONE of those things have anything to do with us in Christ! The things that we see and experience now in this world about who's the greatest, and who is only in the world for serving their betters, does not exist with us in Christ! We are ALL brethren, and Jesus alone is our Master, our Leader, and our Superior! Do each of us actually have diversities of gifts, abilities, callings? Are we not all individual and particular members of the body? But all of us together IS THE BODY!"     > Respond now...

Paul is not clear but the point is that they both were high priests, appointed as was Aaron to perform ritual sacrifice. ""..I am the Light of the world: he that follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the Light of Life." In order to get the first-most importance of the meaning in any Scripture passage, we have to first understand it in the context of the whole part in which it appears. In this instance then, there were once again, hateful adversaries running upon the Lord with what they assumed was an impossible predicament, so that through it they could have something to accuse the Lord and thus publicly expose Him as a fraud and impostor. But what happens is their own foul consciences and evil intentions are exposed to their own shame. First There are NO Commandments in the Scriptures that are impossible for us to keep, for ANY reason! And Second The Statutes of capital punishment for certain crimes was to be executed, NOT by a vindictive and self-righteous mob, seeking to make an example but for a pure and holy people to protect their society from being ruined. Now that the "society" is utterly corrupt and filled with sinning against God What is the Lord Jesus to do? How is He to act toward people whom He wants to SAVE FROM THEIR SINS AND NOT KILL THEM FOR THEM? He does not condemn us but lets us go free to live! He frankly forgives all of us who have NOTHING to pay and in love leads us to REPENTANCE and a CHANGED LIFE! He is the Light which gives us Light!"     > Respond now...

""Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." The ones who are walking in darkness don't know that they are in darkness, and cannot see where they're going, BECAUSE the darkness has blinded their eyes. Those who say they see, but have no need of repentance, their sins are retained. But if we DO the will of the Father if we with a good and honest heart receive the Word of the Glad Tidings Announced, and DO ALL that Jesus has commanded us then WE DO KNOW the Doctrine, and have our hearts assured that we are accepted of God in Christ. You cannot refuse instruction, refuse conviction of sin and error, refuse humility and compassion for others... REFUSE LIGHT and also have the Light of the world shining in you! The tree is know by its fruit and we are known whether we are of God, by our reception of His Spirit and His Word and by the reflection of His character and natural disposition, in all our course in life. But he that lacks these things IS BLIND, SHORT-SIGHTED, and HAS FORGOTTEN THE PURGING OF HIS SINS!"     > Respond now...

"servant; when Jesus said that to the young rich man, He was exposing and rebuking the empty flattering titles used to "butter-up" and ask for an audience. He was not saying that He isn't God; but for the kid to sober up and be true in his character.
