Yehng a woman is NEVER to be a minister or a pastor of God 's church. NEVER. God created man then he created a woman from Adam. I hope this helps you to understand a little more. God Bless. If a woman is a pastor of a church I would run away fast from that church I would not want ichibod written on my church. That is an abomination unto the LORD.

nau the statement not with, simply means dont, bringing it out from d Greek or Hebrew version , we should still have not with, which most bible remove cos of Der believes, I Paul said not with, referring to some wr in Corinthians wen he said what agreement has the temple of God with idols, and d same with wat peter said about dressing ......., cos of iniquity hd abound d love for God has waxed cold and we Der by compromise, d word to fit our life instead of our life 's to fit the word, .....if we see dt it is causing argument and we say we love God why don 't we just don 't do it, incase if it 's wrong atlast Dan we ignore and later find it wrong if it 's going to be wrong......would have said more but, let 's give God the best of our selves and stop trying to compromise, its only a tradition in christianity , it doesn 't stop u from being a Christian till we are judged den God will decide.

Timothy Wayne George's comment on 2013-10-25 04:27:07:

Modesty is the key, and humility of dress, as well as spirit, so as to not bring attention to themselves. Looking nice is not the issue, but worshiping God in spirit, and truth. Be an example for other believers in purity of dress, as well as thought. When we gather together to worship the Lord our mind should be on the Lord Jesus Christ, and giving Him all the glory. As for as teaching the older women are to teach the younger women how to love their husbands.

I was reading in the 1 Timothy 2:9 where it is saying in like manner, that a woman adorn themselves in modest apparel, not with broided hair, or gold, or pears, or costly array.

Women have the tendency to want to create attractions, especially for the opposite ***.It was no different in the time of Paul. The apostle therefore had to warn agaist this since it could become a stumbling block for purity of minds on the part of the believers.

Natahn's comment on 2011-10-19 10:33:38:

Paul was telling Timothy that women should present themselves modestly. By that I mean, they shouldn't wear clothing that reveals everything that God gave them. They should dress in a fashion that God would appreciate not in a way that will create a distraction from God. Paul was trying to say that a modesty issue can become a morality issue. And Jesus said... 'But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart(Matthew 5:28)"
When women dress un-modestly, they tend to create an opportunity for a man to lust.

If you have a young lady in your church by the age of 15 and her mother gives permission to die her hair pink in the top. Would it wrong or would you say she is not being modest?

This Scripture is referring to dress and grooming. For women to be modest and not draw undue attention to themselves or dressing in a way that sends the wrong signals and this principle also apply to men.

yheng's comment on 2010-06-27 02:37:26:

does it mean that women would have no right to teach or being the leader of every church they belong?like pastoral group?to serve the word of god?only man?
