God didn't promise us that life in Him would be exempt from trials and temptation. But, what He says is that he'll provide a way of escape. Therefore, we win because he has provided a way out.

The scriptures do not teach that God tempts us. Let God be true but every man a liar. This scripture taken in context means if we are enticed by our own desires, and are led by them into sin, God will provide a way out for us. He does not want us to sin, but reassures us that when we do, there is forgiveness for us through his Son our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.. We have died to sin, how can we live in it any longer?

To Tina, yes God will put more on you than you can bare, if you are not a Christian. If you are not a Christian, then it is entirely possible to have more than you can bare to be put on you. Even then God is waiting on the side lines for you to accept Jesus as your Savior, as way of escape.

No temptation or sin, can we always find a way of ESCAPE! I find I cant "always " find a way of escape, why is this? Would this be a normal weakness, as we all are sinners and fall short of the glory of God. Taking the scripture literally we could all be sin free! Blessings!!!

I interpret temptation also as trial or affliction.
It has become a life verse to me due to the many physical limitations I have. When God has closed a door he helps find the window of escape. It is a constant test that helps me to do good and be compassionate to others.

Shay's comment on 2013-12-17 07:16:02:

Jehovah God never forsakes us to the point of permitting us to come into situations that make it humanly impossible to do his will. By strenthening us to resist temptation, Jehovah makes the way out. God can fortify our faith and give us the spiritual strenth we need in order to maintain integrity.

No matter how hard life can be for a believer in Jesus Christ, it should settle in our minds that, victory is ***ured when this verse, 1st Cor. 10:13 becomes our daily song.

Darrion's comment on 2013-06-14 07:47:13:

Amen Timothy, So we do not have an excuse when we sin because God gives us a way to escape from that temptation so we wont sin. If you are blind or dont take heed to the way out then you are in trouble. You must stay strong in your spirit to see the signs that God gives us. Be ye Holy for our Lord God is Holy!!!!

Timothy Wayne George's comment on 2011-11-02 04:22:09:

Temptation has two meanings: as one is an enticement to do evil, and the other is to test one to do good. God in his mercy only test us to do good. While he allows Satan to entice us to do evil he sets a limit on it so that we are able to endure it.
