13"....;HE SHALL LIE ALL NIGHT BETWIXT MY BREASTS.

I translate those words into a prayer inviting Christ to dwell in the very midst of my heart as a fragrant odor, as an encouragement for my spirit to keep my mind on the things above, and as a refreshment to draw from for the new day to walk in, for each day has its own evil to contend with.

I am so thankful for help of the Holy Spirit as He leads me in the way that God would have me go... In Jesus' Name I pray...Amen.

Bless you all in Christ!!!

Song of Solomon 1:6. Have you ever experienced rejection by other Christians because of your sin? Have you ever experienced rejection by other Christians because of your appearance or reputation? The Lord's dove in this book, the Shulamite, pressed on through such rejection to find the one she loved, the Chiefest among ten thousand.

6 Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.

Song 5

6 I opened to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn himself, and was gone: my soul failed when he spake: I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer.

7 The watchmen that went about the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took away my veil from me.

8 I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if ye find my beloved, that ye tell him, that I am sick of love.

Joseph, if I could add to those excellent advice given by Hogan, on spending time with the Lord in prayer & in His Word.

As we walk out into a new day armed with the Word & the richness of a prayer time with your Father, we must seek out opportunities that will allow the Spirit of God to move amongst others. We know that the Holy Spirit moves over many hearts to "reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement" (Jn 16:8), but He mostly works through us who have experienced forgiveness of sins & have a new hope & new life.

So whether you're at work, doing some shopping, meeting someone on the street, or even offering help to an elderly/infirm/needy person, ask the Spirit of God to use you to show forth the Love & Grace of God & to share the Word of God that you've been studying, to others. As you serve Him, even in a small way, you will know in your heart, by the witness of the Spirit, that the ministry you've just done was only because of Him being in you & working through you, for GOD'S GLORY only. Now, if that isn't a great confirmation of the indwelling Holy Spirit - and you will increase in your faith & can expect greater things from God.

Hogan's comment on 2020-06-14 04:03:09:

Spending time in the Word of God is spending time with Christ. He is the Word (see John 1:1). For me, I experience his presence which leads to prayer. I gather scriptures that I desire to pray to him about because I know he honors his Word and I know that I'm praying his will. I recommend reading the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Afterwards Read Acts chapter 1 and 2. Do this every day, devote quite time with him, listen for him. In this reading you will come to know about Jesus Christ, his passion, his heart, and feel his love. Get ready to enjoy reading the Word of God, enjoying his presence and experiencing intimacy with him. You're on the right path of desiring an intense relationship with him for the Word promises if you seek him, you will find him! God bless you and I'm so happy for you. His Love is wonderful, Christ is wonderful and his presence and spirit is amazing! He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. He gives me confidence, love, peace, strength, joy, comfort, hope and security. He has changed my life and has changed me. I will never be the same and don't want to be. If I can share a song with you it would be this: He's sweet I know, oh He's sweet I know. Storm clouds may rise, strong winds may blow. I'll tell the world, wherever I go. That I've found a savior and he's sweet I know.

In my early walk with the Holy Spirit I found Him to be faithful. It was when I stop reading my Bible and stop spending time with Him. This is what I found out, it was me. I stopped calling on Jesus and seeking His presence. James 5"Draw nigh to me an I will draw near to you."nkjv Jeremiah also speaks on this chpt. 29:12-4. When I did the presence of God became so wonderful again.

You're right. What do creation studies have to do with people being born again and following Jesus.

Millions of people may be dying without Jesus as their Saviour.

Be blessed.

Jesse's comment on 2020-06-03 16:39:10:

If I remember correctly, it was originally titled Song of Songs, not Song of Solomon. Either way, it's still the same book, nothing changed. There are also other books in the bible that the titles have been changed from the original. The book of Acts was originally known as Luke Part II. I think there may have been one or two more, but I would have to research it.

In my King James Version Bible, the Book of Solomon is found. In my new Southern Baptist Sunday School book, it is called Song of Songs. When did this happen?? Never heard it called Song of Songs!! I don't like anything changed when it come to GOD'S WORD!!!

Rowland Tedder's comment on 2020-04-12 09:01:07:

The Bible tells us in Proverbs 20:1 - Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise. rnrnNo where in the Bible state Jesus turned water into an alcoholic drink and the grapes were fermented. He simple stated he turned water into wine. His word, the Bible, talks against alcohol in several places when you read it in its entirety. He will not contradict himself. Jesus is the word (John 1:1). Galatians chapter 5 also explains to us what is sin. Ask yourself, how would it effect your witness to the world. Would they take you serious seeing you drinking alcohol and trying to lead them to Jesus Praying earnestly and not self willed, God will reveal thetruth

Adam's comment on 2020-03-22 18:06:21:

Hi Sandra, that's a good question. It's my opinion that since Jesus' first miracle was turning water to alcoholic wine then it must not be a sin in itself. What is says is a sin is drunkenness and giving into the many temptations that alcohol will enable through inhibiting our judgment, conscience, and holy spirit. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Bible-Verses-About-Drunkenness/ and https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Bible-Verses-About-Causing-Your-Brother-To-Stumble/

getting drunk is the Sin

Sandra's comment on 2020-03-22 14:45:40:

I am of the Protestant faith and am very confused about the consumption of wine, say a glass with dinner not drunkenness? I have put this to God and asked for an answer and I always come to the same conclusion that it is not a sin, I feel no guilt at consuming a glass of celebratory wine or with dinner. Please give me your opinion.rnThank you,rnSandra

I love the book of Solomon. Out of reading through my bible 2.5 times, the Song of Solomon has always captured me in thorough explanation it gives in the telling of the (4-Loves) the human existence goes through, and then we experience the "True" AGAPE of love which is more fulfilling and always needed within our every day lives.

To GOD be the 'glory'.
