The day is obviously talking about the saturday sabbath.In the OT God the father demanded that people take a time off with there animals etc so that the day may focus on Him.This Law was applicable for the followers until death. This law along with 9 others written on stone remains applicable even today right up until the death of that person,just as a husband is bound to his wife til death. After which that covenant no longer applies. See Romans 7.After this death through Christ.Jesus now becomes Lord of the sabbath.He brings that TRUE sabbath rest into you 24 7 ,Sabbath rest is fulfilled in Him now and the believer cannot rest in Him more or Get closer to. Him on one set day.Every day from that death in Christ is the true sabbath rest in Him.You therefore CANNOT make one day holier than another.Again I stress read the last half of Romans 7.Not one jot or tiddle changes with those 10 commandments they stay in place UNTIL you die in Christ.At that moment the law is fulfilled in your life not done away with
