It 's your Spirit that gets born again, it 's not your body that gets born again, your soul doesn 't get born again, Since your body does not get born again, present it as a Living Sacrifice, to the Lord!

The Divine allowed us to be on this physical plane to exist and to fulfill a very specific duty. It is our "reasonable service " to allow God to come alive within ourselves and to do what we came here to do. "Sacrifice " living outside of yourself and "renew your mind " by recognizing the God in you.

Since God wants us to come out from worldly standards and be separate and holy unto him I would view this as a commandment for all believers. Failure to do this will result in us losing out in realising our full potential by knowing the perfect will of GOD Romans 12 2 for our lives.

MockingBird's comment on 2014-06-20 02:59:53:

It is of the Lord 's mercies that we are not consumed. So by the mercy of the Lord I am to present my body to Him as my reasonable service a living sacrifice not a dead one Holy separated unto Him That which is acceptable unto Him Faith pleases God . A life separated from sin. Dead to sin.

To be prepare for God when he comes and or to use is important. The Lord 's blessing will be for you us at any point in time presenting our body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. Paul is saying 'as God grant us Mercies day by day, let 's use these as means living holy lives acceptable to Jesus for blessings at any time which will prepare us for the kingdom of God. Without holiness, it is impossible to see God. Amen.

Olabode's comment on 2014-06-20 00:50:02:

There are some services we render unto God that are acceptable and there are some that are not acceptable. Example of acceptable services is by presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice that is by not useless our bodies with the excitement of this world and at the same time, holiness is required for our services to be acceptable by God. For example, we must be righteous, upright, faithful, and have pure heart etc.

I believe God has called me to live,a separated life, meaning a life that is his,and his alone,my body is his temple, and I shouldn't touch the unclean thing.

ekop Wilson's comment on 2013-08-31 07:45:46:

This means that,we should at all times keep ourselves holy, and as an instrument of use by God and as means of sacrifice to be offer to God.

Paul is saying to us is not about you alone,God the creator of all things should be given adoration for who we are in the Kingdom, that's why he's pleading with us to give back to the giver of our lives.

The buttom line is that u don't own your body,so you should live your life for God at all time. Your physical and spiritual apperance should always show that you are for God for him to recognise you as his own also.

Lucky Agofure's comment on 2013-03-03 23:02:56:

Paul was actually talking to christians. There is the tendency that our bodies could be used to please the devil because of the corrupt world we are. There is the need for watchfullness and prayerfullness to ensure that will live the life that pleases God. A life in Christ is defferent from a life in sin. Therefore, it is very important we honor God with our bodies continously.

Jacob Zikhali's comment on 2011-02-15 07:59:40:

This actually illustrates that, my body or your body is not mine or yours at all, it was meant for the edification of the existance of God . Yes we do have our will but bottom line is we are not of our own . We sholud exalt or worship the creator by what we say or do. Every action from the body should point to Jesus the Lord and Saviour. I will always live for God for thats the sole reason I was made to exist in this universe. If we could come to our senses and consider this .We will live in a very positive environment ie no greed, no self bosting,no satanism , no anti-christ , no nonsense and no poverty.
