John 3:16 for God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believet in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 1Pet. 5:7 casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. So therefore confessing yours sins and asking forgiveness he wants you to keep your eyes on the prize. Psm 32:2 Blessed is the man...

The comment submitted by Norma Coleman on Psalms 32:8 is outstanding. This helps me see how awe-embracing the Lord is concerning the destiny of his children. Ms. Norma Coleman, I thank you and the Lord for a very heart-felt revelation.

To Sawme on his comment on the word "Selah". This word has been used many times in Psalms starting in Psalm 3:2, 3:4, and 3:8. Why is it that you said the word Selah was not seen until Psalm 32? The meaning of the word is most likely referring to "pause". Hope this helps.

It is said that the eyes are the window to your soul, then it also saids that the soul is the most inner parts of our being. That to me are the heart and the emotions. I believe God sees with, his heart, his Spirit. So when he says, " I will guide you with my eyes." He is guiding us with love, as a parent does for their children. You see God leads with his heart and that is what he is trying to get us to do. Let him lead us with his heart.

If we really adhere to this scripture, my think about all the trouble we can avoid only we come to the Lord first, and allow Him to instruct and teach and keep His eye upon us. Wow! We mess up sometimes and when we do we can be comforted knowing God is the best counsel available when willing to become obedient to Him. God 's got our best interest at heart. Have faith and believe in the One who can make a difference in our life.

We need a lot of help and guidance in this world, and God is offering himself to be our guide and help us. This scripture highlights that he gives us sound advice through his word the bible. He doesn 't just give us the bible to read and walks away, but gives us advice with his eye upon us. The use of his eye shows that he is actively guiding with his spirit and watching out for us.

what do eyes mean in this verse?

Looks like you quoted Ps. 33:8 from the Douay Rheims Bible instead of 32:8?

Yolanda Brown's comment on 2011-08-13 06:48:14:

God lead me to this scripture. I have it posted on my mirror as a reminder of what he is saying to me. "I will guide you with my eyes." I need his wisdom on how to respond in difficult situations and his eyes to guide me to be at the right place at the right time doing the right thing. I cannot see with human eyes the things that he has instored for me, nor where he wants to lead me.
