When I read this verse, my mind went directly to Romans 6:16, Know ye not, that whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey whether sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? David burned the bridges behind him, and he willing became a servant of God. As a servant, David is simply asking for clarity in his marching orders. He wants to know God's testimonies so that his obedience would be more perfected.

When follow this verse we will always please the Lord and work the greater works of Christ, Because He 'll be in us working.
