The FEAR of the LORD is the beginning of WISDOM; a good understanding have all they that do His commandments, His praise endures forever. To fear God means to be conscious of His person, presence and love; using it as a guiding basis in our actions and inactions. To fear means to live in obedient devotion to God, and this has nothing to do with being religious, it is a lifestyle that is chosen (Prov. 1:19).

However, the foundation of true wisdom, lies in the fear of the Lord. When you fear Him, you would be more God-conscious than sin-conscious. Joseph asserts that shall I do this great wickedness and sin against God? That was a statement from a man who feared the Lord.

And it does not stop there. This verse also stated that GOOD UNDERSTANDING HAVE ALL THEY THAT DO HIS COMMANDS. What a deep phrase! There's good understanding and there is bad understanding. One brings favor, while the other leads to hardship.

May God help us live in the reality and consciousness of this truth in the name of Jesus.

The last verse...wow! So true. Fear of God is the beginning of his wisdom.

MAN CRAVES CONTINUALLY TO PLAY GOD. ISRAEL FEARED TO CALL THE NAME OF GOD, TALK LESS ASSUME ANY TITLE ASCRIBED TO HIM. MODERNISM NO LONGER HONOUR SACRED THINGS, BE IT NAME OR INSTITUTION.

Rev. Autrey's comment on 2014-07-26 05:49:05:

Psalm 111 says, 'Praise the Lord! I will thank the Lord with all my heart. ... He has paid a full ransom for his people. He has guaranteed his covenant with them forever. ... ' This is talking about God coming to the earth as Jesus and dying in our pace on the cross. This is how the ransom for us was paid. But the problem is, most people do not believe that Jesus is God. Most people think that he is a lesser being or person. But many are not sure who Jesus is. So I make this point right now. Jesus is God Almighty, and he has come to save us. Don 't be confused by Jesus calling himself the Son Of God. He called himself the Son of Man, too. He did this to idetity himself with both God and man. He was the God Man. In other words, the term Son of God for Jesus is a title he used to identify himself while walking on the earth as a man. Let 's not forget what John said about him in John 1, verse 2. "... And the Word was God. ' And let 's not forget the words of Thomas in the upper room. 'My Lord and my God. ' Yes, God as Jesus has come to save us, and he did this by giving him life as a ransom for many. May God bless you!

I agreed that the name Reverend is belongs only to our Lord Jesus Christ as written in Deuteronomy 28 58 It is not blessing to put it in front of names of God servants It may be harm to them

bro. joel's comment on 2013-09-03 00:36:23:

one of the attributes of GOD is reverend is HIS name, this should not be attributed to those so called Gods servant who do not understand their calling to God. to those people that is still have the heart of humbleness should have a deep understanding about their names title which is use and presented to the hearers lest they accept to themselves that they are gods too.. be sensitive my friends repent for there is still time.

Many a person take the word reverend for granted to the extent of calling themself so. I pity them. It's the name of our Lord.
