I believe that it means that one should work diligently to tend to or take care of the business that God has committed into his hands. It can be an assignment, a task etc. God is saying that the pastor or man of God should really go close to his congregation and know them personally, find out where they are hurting, press to know the challenges they face and proffer solution. Whatever their state is, be it spiritual state or physical, a shepherd is admonished by the Lord to take care of his flocks and lovingly cater for them. Lead them to greener pastures and to springs of waters. Pastors should always labour in the word and prayer to be able have access to revelations and insights from God. Then feed the flock with fresh word. Thank you.
