THIS EXPLAINS ITS SELF IN THE VERSES JUST BEFORE IT --FALSE PROPHETS-- WE SEE THIS IN A LOT OF TV EVANGELIST TODAY AND LOCAL MINISTERS --NOT ALL--THANK GOD AND FALSE PROPHETS WILL ALWAYS BE HERE UNTIL HE COMES BACK AND GETS US MAY GOD BLESS YOU

John Madden's comment on 2015-05-02 17:25:16:

this verse does not promote works for salvation ,but rather the fruits of false teachers and false believers are evident talking is as far as their profession gets.every body talking about heaven dosn't mean they're going ,doing and being in the will of god is good evidence of,true faith.who ever has my commands and does them is the one who loves me,,

Matthew 7:21 is one of those versus that believers turn into a works righteousness concept when in reality it 's the exact opposite. To do the will of the Father is to believe on the Son John 6:29,40

Many people say Lord Lord only for God to do for them and what they think and want, without seriously seeking the Lord for what He wants them to be or to do. Like Lord Lord, give me a brand new Mercedes while I spend your money on beer. Or more up to date is this: Lord Lord I am a lonely Sodomite so please give me a husband. The Lord does not do your will if it is evil or wrong for you so you must know and do His will by grace through faith in Him.We are saved by grace and faith but if this does not include right thinking and actions then you need to seek forgiveness and ask Jesus to help you get it right. And he will.Once you do enter into the kingdom of God then the Holy spirit lives in you and He will deliver you from the self righteous and unrighteous works of the devil. For this purpose was the Son of god was manifested that he might destroy the works of the Devil!! I hope this helps someone.

Those who do the will of my Father are who do the works of God. God doesnt expect us to be obedient but to believe in the one whom He sent (John 6:28-29)

Matthew 7:21.Many cry,Lord,Lord today.Satan as a angel of light cries Lord,Lord. His false minsters also cry Lord,Lord.Satan beceives millions of souls today by crying Lord,Lord, from some pulpit.Thats why Jesus said not every one that cries Lord,Lord. Now give me ten % of your wages.Satan and his minsters are very cunning, but Christ no those who are his.
