Jesus answered a question with a question. The scribes and pharisees were trying to catch Jesus, but They were the ones who got caught. That which goes into the man is not what defiles the man, but that which comes out of the heart. Keep thy heart with all diligence for out of it are the problems of life.

Tradition is very beautiful and rich but its demands are a source of apathy 'twixt one and God for it is concerned of self righteousness.
