The parable is about making decisions that leave you Places to work/live uninterrupted by poverty/homelessness/slavery. Accused of inefficiency, "wasting" in a competitive world (happens in business). He believed the accounting would not show him efficient. So while he still had authority he gave discounts, thus making obligatory friends in his business category. The master commended because he instantly went from cautionary tale, to glowing example of success, not even losing step, and because he thought through and made a stellar business decision, rather than reacting/fretting; when he could surely have easily preoccupied in the potential doom/gloom.

What I or you "think " of Luke 16 9 is of no consequence, is it? Only what God means by it, is valid. And only He can give a person the correct intrepretation, after rightly dividing the word, by comparing every verse from the entire bible, concerning the subject. God being soverign, certainly can not care what we "think " about anything. Again, being soverign, He does not have to "check " with us. You see, mankind has never had an original thought of his own, because only God is soverign. If mankind did, then he would be in competition with God, and the Bible declares very clearly that God is the "only " soverign.

I believe this scripture has a twofold meaning as to who will receive you into their eternal habitation. First of all in every day life calamity times will come, disasters of all kind, fires, floods earth quakes ect. and you don't know who God will send to your aide, and it plainly infers to storing up good works or your treasures in heaven that (GOD/JERSUS will receive you into their everlasting tabernacles.

It makes sense that if we would treat our neighbor as ourselves. We would love them and help them in their time of need. We would use our money, our riches to benefit and do good to others, as we are stewards of the money and the gifts of God. Let us share all of God's righteousness.

I think Jesus meant that, embrace the riches of this world (unrighteousness mammon) which will enable you into the privilege of tithing, giving to the poor, give generously to those in need, clothe them,buy them food. Using the earthly wealth to serve God so that the seed you have planted on earth (as per the book of Revelation) where we will be judged by the works we did as it is written in the second book of our deeds) Therefore this wealth would have opened an opportunity to us to serve God with it hence the good works and fruits that emanated from the unrighteousness mammom will welcome us into everlasting habitation. See verse 11' it says if you cannot be trusted with the unrighteousness mammon how can you be trusted with the holy incorruptible wealth in heaven?
