Jesus said this because Nineveh Assyria repented at the preaching of Jonah. Read the book of Jonah if you want more. Yet Jesus did many miracles proving his ministry when Jonah did no miracles. But that town would not repent at the preaching of Jesus. that is why Jesus said Nineveh would rise up in judgment and condemn the town. rnJesus taught repentance and few did what Jesus said.
